The University Knowledge and Technology Management proudly announces the release of the June 2026 issues of the ISU Linker Journals—the Journal of Education, Social Sciences, and Allied Health (JESSAH), the Journal of Engineering, Computing, and Technology (JECT), and the Journal of Emerging Research in Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (JERAFF). Readers, researchers, and members of the academic community are invited to access the journals and submit their scholarly works through the journals’ official website.

We are likewise proud to announce a landmark achievement in the internationalization of the ISU Linker Journals. Following the successful completion of all institutional processing requirements and the approval of the Board of Regents through Board Resolution No. 37, s. 2026, the University's partnership with EBSCOhost—one of the world's leading academic research database providers based in the United States of America—has been officially sealed. The University has successfully secured the inclusion of all ISU Linker Journals in the EBSCOhost database to advance the global visibility and accessibility of its scholarly publications.

EBSCOhost is a globally recognized research database and discovery service utilized by thousands of universities, libraries, and research institutions worldwide. It serves as a trusted platform that enables scholars and practitioners to discover high-quality academic resources across various disciplines, thereby increasing opportunities for scholarly citations and academic engagement, and broadening the dissemination of community-responsive and impactful research produced by Isabela State University and its collaborators. More importantly, it positions the ISU Linker Journals within a global network of scholarly communication, making the University's research outputs more accessible to researchers, educators, policymakers, and institutions across the world.

📢 Publication Alert!
Celebrating excellence in research and innovation — SeDi LMSS: A Self-Directed Learning Management and Support System for Flexible Teaching and Learning Experience has been recognized as the 2026 Civil Service Commission (CSC) Pagasa Regional Award Winner. This achievement highlights ISU’s commitment to innovation and excellence in flexible teaching and learning.

This study explored the customization of a platform for the Learning Management and Support System (LMSS) dubbed as SeDi: Self Directed LMSS and examined how usable the platform is using the quantifiable usability metrics such as completion rate, overall relative efficiency, and task level satisfaction. The development of the platform followed the four-phased rapid application development methodology to meet the requirements of the target beneficiaries more quickly. Participants in the evaluation of usability were users who are computer literate and first-time users of the platform. Results show that the customized platform is effective in terms of completion rate, efficient in terms of overall relative efficiency, and very easy to use in terms of task-level satisfaction.

IDEAS IN ACTION: ISU-CABAGAN HIGHLIGHTS NEXT-WAVE INNOVATIONS IN 2026 CLUSTER R&D SYMPOSIUM!

The future of science, technology, and social progress took center stage at the RDET Building, Isabela State University-Cabagan last May 19, 2026, during the 2026 Cabagan Cluster Research and Development Symposium for Undergraduate and Graduate Levels. Guided by the theme, “Ideas in Action: Showcasing Research where Curiosity Witnesses the Next Wave of Innovation,” student researchers from various colleges showcased breakthroughs addressing real-world challenges.

The symposium officially opened with powerful and inspiring remarks from Campus Cluster Executive Officer, Prof. Jane G. Cabauatan, Ph.D., and Campus R&D Director, Prof. Ruby L. Mamauag, Ph.D. Both leaders emphasized the critical role of youth-led research in driving regional development and advancing global sustainability. They challenged the student presenters to look far beyond mere academic completion, urging them to focus on the tangible, real-world community impact of their discoveries. The morning and afternoon sessions featured a series of intense, simultaneous oral presentations across four categories. Student researchers defended their methodologies and prototypes before panels of expert evaluators, showcasing a high level of analytical rigor, academic grit, and innovation.

This symposium highlights unwavering commitment of ISU-Cabagan to fostering a vibrant research culture. By transforming raw curiosity into actionable innovations, our student researchers and dedicated faculty advisers continue to pave the way for regional progress.
