From Crowded Corners to Towering Classrooms: Cubag Integrated School Opens New Two-Storey Building
CABAGAN, Isabela | What once stood as a growing school struggling to accommodate the increasing number of learners now rises proudly with a symbol of progress and hope.
From cramped spaces and limited classrooms to a newly inaugurated two-storey, six-classroom building, Cubag Integrated School marked another historic milestone in its journey toward educational excellence.
The blessing and inauguration ceremony gathered school officials, local government leaders, teachers, parents, and community stakeholders in celebration of a project that reflects the shared commitment to quality education and learner development.
In her message, school principal Dr. Aida P. Tabug emphasized that the newly completed building is more than just a structure made of concrete and steel.
“This building is a testament that when a community values education, dreams become realities. Today, we are not only opening classrooms—we are opening brighter opportunities for every Cubag learner,” she said.
As the first integrated school in the Municipality of Cabagan, Cubag Integrated School continues to expand its educational services from elementary to junior high school. Eight years since its establishment as an integrated institution, the school has steadily grown in population and academic performance, making the construction of additional classrooms both timely and necessary.
The realization of the infrastructure project was made possible through the strong support of the Local Government Unit of Cabagan headed by Mayor Mila Albano Mamauag, whose administration has been recognized for prioritizing education and school development initiatives.
During the inauguration rites, local officials highlighted the importance of investing in learning environments that nurture both academic growth and student welfare.
Teachers and parents also expressed gratitude as the new facility is expected to provide a more conducive and comfortable learning atmosphere for students. The additional classrooms will help decongest existing learning spaces and further improve the delivery of education within the school community.
The ceremony concluded with the ribbon-cutting and blessing of the building, symbolizing not just the opening of doors, but the strengthening of Cubag Integrated School’s mission to produce empowered, resilient, and future-ready learners.
