𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝘄𝗼-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
The Division for Academic Affairs (DAA) of Caraga State University, Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCC) has successfully concluded its two-day "2025 Performance Assessment, Evaluation, and Review of Target Setting Workshop," held on October 16-17, 2025. The intensive event brought together campus officials, division chiefs, and college representatives to collaboratively assess performance and chart a unified strategic direction for the upcoming years.
Day 1 commenced with campus and university leaders setting a clear strategic tone. In her Welcome Message, Campus Director Dr. Deomila B. Mamaoag opened the proceedings by emphasizing the event's critical purpose: to meticulously align and harmonize the academic plans of all units, ensuring every department moves in concert towards the university's mission and vision. She called for a spirit of active participation and open collaboration to set a productive tone for the event. Delivering a powerful Inspirational Message, University President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil challenged the attendees to champion excellence not merely as individuals but as a unified academic body, connecting the workshop's objectives to the university's long-term strategic plan. Finally, Dr. Jona J. Biongcog, Division Chief for Academic Affairs, articulated the workshop's rationale, underscoring the need for a unified strategy to meet the university's ambitious goals.
Following the opening program, the agenda moved to a comprehensive assessment of 2025 divisional performances and a detailed review of budget utilization. In the afternoon, the focus shifted to unit-level reviews from the Library, Registrar’s Office, NSTP, OSIP, and the colleges. The day wrapped up with a thoughtful discussion that synthesized the campus's strengths and identified key areas for growth, preparing everyone for the planning sessions to follow.
Day 2 began with presentations from the Office of Curriculum and Instructional Development (OCID), followed by all colleges presenting their accomplishments and challenges. The agenda then moved to a plenary on institutional directions and priorities for 2025-2026. The core of the day involved hands-on workshops focused on harmonizing Departmental and Individual Performance Commitment Reviews (DPCR and IPCR) and setting concrete unit targets for 2025. In the afternoon, participants engaged in strategic planning for 2026, linking proposed programs and projects to budget priorities and measurable outcomes.
As the event concluded, unit heads presented their newly harmonized plans, reflecting two days of intensive collaboration. The workshop closed not just with finished plans, but with a shared and renewed commitment from everyone to work together to advance the university's mission of academic excellence.

The Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus, through the Office of Curriculum and Instruction Development (OCID), conducted the 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙊𝘽𝙀 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥 at the CSUCC Athenaeum.

Attended by faculty members of the General Education Department and led by 𝙊𝘾𝙄𝘿 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙈𝙨. 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙡 𝙅𝙖𝙣𝙚 𝘽𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙮, the activity aimed to align instructional materials and assessment tools with the Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) framework to strengthen teaching coherence and academic quality.

𝐃𝐀𝐀 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐄 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐰𝐨-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩

Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCC), through the Office of Curriculum and Instruction Development (OCID) in partnership with the Instructional Materials Development (IMD) Unit, successfully conducted the Campus Workshop on Thesis Advising, Crafting of Institutional Thesis Guidelines, and Campus Statistician on July 17–18, 2025, at the CSUCC Athenaeum.

This initiative, jointly supported by the Division for Academic Affairs (DAA) and the Division for Research Development, Innovation, and Extension (DRDIE), aimed to institutionalize best practices in undergraduate thesis advising, standardize campus-level thesis guidelines, and establish the formal designation of campus research statisticians. The activity brought together college deans, department heads, and thesis instructors from all CSUCC colleges.

Day 1 featured a compelling plenary session led by Dr. Nathalie L. Daminar, DRDIE Division Chief, who emphasized the importance of aligning student research to regional development priorities, national research agendas, and global sustainability goals. Her talk, "Reframing Undergraduate Research: Trends and Institutional Directions," provided critical insights into elevating the relevance and impact of campus-based research outputs.

On Day 2, Mr. Julito A. Puebla, one of the CSUCC Statistician and Head of Extension Unit, delivered a technical session on “The Role of the Campus Statistician in Strengthening Undergraduate Research.” His discussion focused on the proposed composition, roles, and responsibilities of research statisticians in supporting the technical rigor of student theses, ensuring proper data analysis, and enhancing overall research quality.

Throughout the workshop, participants shared their respective colleges’ best practices and challenges in thesis implementation. Collaborative discussions were held to refine the draft Institutional Thesis Handbook, which will guide research-related processes and quality assurance mechanisms in future academic years.

This two-day workshop not only paved the way for a more unified research framework but also reaffirmed CSUCC’s commitment to fostering a research-driven academic environment rooted in integrity, relevance, and excellence.

𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐂 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐁𝐄 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬-𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩

Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCC), through the Office of Curriculum and Instruction Development (OCID) and Division for Academic Affairs, successfully spearheaded the Campus-Wide OBEdized Writeshop of Syllabus and Course Outline on July 8–9, 2025, held at the CSUCC Athenaeum Ground Floor.

This intensive two-day writeshop aimed to enhance the quality of instruction through the full implementation of Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) principles in course documentation and delivery across all academic programs.

With the active participation of College Deans, Associate Deans, Department Heads, College QUAMS Coordinators, and General Education Subject Coordinators, the activity focused on collaborative development and validation of OBEdized syllabi and course outlines.

The workshop formally opened with preliminary messages from academic leaders including Dr. Jona J. Biongcog, Division Chief for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Deomila B. Mamaoag, Campus Director, followed by the presentation of the rationale by OCID Head Ms. Marisol Jane M. Beray.

Led by Engr. Dr. Abigael L. Balbin, Director of OCID (CSU Main Campus), with support from Ms. Angelica C. Plantado, the writeshop featured hands-on sessions designed to equip participants with tools for curriculum mapping, outcome alignment, and instructional quality assurance.

Day 1 focused on the orientation of the OBE framework, detailed mapping of Course Outcomes (COs) to Program Outcomes (POs), and the integration of Capstone projects and Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) into course structures.

During Day 2, participants engaged in rigorous workshops on Institutional Outcomes, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) mechanisms, and peer feedback, ensuring that the crafted syllabi reflected both academic and industry standards.

Each college presented its workshop outputs for critique and validation, culminating in a final synthesis and action planning session that identified key steps for the full implementation of the enhanced curriculum by School Year 2025–2026.

The writeshop reinforced CSUCC’s commitment to curriculum excellence, OBE compliance, and academic responsiveness, empowering faculty to design learning experiences that are student-centered, outcome-driven, and globally aligned.

𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐂 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐂!

For the first time in its history, CSUCC celebrates a groundbreaking achievement — its first-ever batch of BS Accountancy graduates are now also the first Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) the institution has proudly produced!

With an impressive 40% institutional passing rate, CSUCC has surpassed the national passing rate of 33.11%, setting the bar high and making history in the process.

This milestone is a testament to the hard work of our pioneer graduates, the dedication of our faculty, and the growing excellence of CSUCC’s academic programs.
