𝐁𝐚𝐠-𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐠 𝐄𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮 is the official song of the First Diocesan Synod of Butuan, expressing the call to journey together as a synodal Church, guided by the Holy Spirit.

The lyrics were written by Rev. Fr. James Michael M. Abellanosa, with music composed by Rev. Fr. Guy Arnold L. Pineda.

The song serves as one of the musical expressions of the Synod as the Diocese of Butuan continues its journey of listening, discernment, and communion.

We proudly welcome Rev. Fr. Mart James C. Presillas, DCB, MAPM, MBM, MBA (CAR) as one of the REGULAR LIFETIME MEMBERS of the Institute of Teachers’ Training Center Inc. (ITTCI). 🎓

Rev. Fr. Presillas is a dedicated servant-leader and practitioner of “synodal shepherding,” whose priestly ministry harmoniously bridges ecclesiastical tradition with modern organizational leadership. He is currently affiliated with the Diocese of Butuan Educational System Inc., where he contributes to the formation of values-driven and mission-oriented education.

His academic journey reflects a deep commitment to interdisciplinary excellence. He completed his philosophical formation at St. Peter College Seminary in Butuan City and theological formation at St. John Mary Vianney Theological Seminary in Cagayan de Oro City. Further strengthening his leadership expertise, he earned a Master of Business Management and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Management at Capitol University, as well as a Master of Business Administration at the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta.

Throughout his priestly mission, Rev. Fr. Presillas has taken on vital leadership roles in diocesan administration, seminary formation, and educational systems. His ability to integrate spiritual leadership with corporate governance and organizational management demonstrates his commitment to holistic and transformative leadership grounded in faith and service.

His research and academic interests include Management, Leadership, Organizational Development, and Faith-based Education. Through his work, he continues to inspire communities by promoting ethical leadership, innovation, and mission-centered service aligned with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

As a member of ITTCI, Rev. Fr. Presillas embodies the values of excellence, integrity, innovation, and lifelong learning. His presence strengthens our growing community of educators, researchers, and professionals committed to meaningful impact in society.

Rev. Fr. Presillas completed his philosophical formative studies at St. Peter College Seminary, Butuan City, and his theological formative studies at St. John Mary Vianney Theological Seminary, Cagayan de Oro City. His pastoral and administrative assignments span the Diocesan Office, Seminary, Parish, and School, reflecting a holistic commitment to education and service. Currently, he serves as the Evangelization Ministry Commissioner of the Diocese of Butuan, Diocesan Archivist, Seminary Professor, and DBESI Campus Ministry Head. He recently completed his Master of Business Management (MBM) at Capitol University and is presently pursuing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at University of Perpetual Help – Delta System (UPHDS) and a Doctorate in Management (DM). The Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was unveiled at the St. Joseph Cathedral Diocesan Shrine as part of its visit to the Diocese of Butuan.

A Pontifical Mass was celebrated by Most Rev. Cosme Damian R. Almedilla, Bishop of Butuan, marking the beginning of the pilgrim image’s visitation at the Cathedral.

The Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe will remain at the St. Joseph Cathedral Diocesan Shrine from August 8 to 10, 2026.

The Diocese of Butuan joyfully welcomes the Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe as part of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Philippine Pilgrimage 2026. The image will be at St. Joseph Cathedral Diocesan Shrine from August 8–10, 2026.

May this pilgrimage renew our faith and inspire us to draw closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

From the insightful talk on responsible citizenship, to the Clergy Pickleball Mini Tournament, and the Pontifical Mass presided over by Most Rev. Cosme Damian R. Almedilla, DD, the celebration reflected the Diocese’s continuing journey of faith and mission.

As we give thanks for 59 years of God’s faithfulness, may we continue walking together in communion, participation, and mission as we prepare for the First Diocesan Synod and the road to our 60th Anniversary.

Today, the Diocese of Butuan celebrates its 59th Canonical Er****on Anniversary with grateful hearts, giving thanks to God for nearly six decades of faith, service, and mission.

As we mark this milestone, may we remain steadfast in proclaiming the Gospel and serving God’s people as we move forward on the road to our 60th Anniversary and the First Diocesan Synod.
