🎥 LEARNING BY DOING: GRADE 10 VLOG PERFORMANCE TASK
As part of the Grade 10 English K–10 Curriculum, learners were challenged to create their own vlog as a performance task, demonstrating their ability to communicate ideas effectively through a meaningful multimodal text.
🎯 Objective:
Learners create and present a purposeful multimodal text using appropriate verbal, visual, and digital elements suited to their purpose, message, and target audience.
📌 Performance Standard:
Learners demonstrate their ability to produce and present an effective multimodal text using appropriate language, organization, and multimedia elements.
Before asking the learners to take on the challenge, the teacher set an example by creating her very first vlog—modeling the process, embracing the learning experience, and showing that learning happens when we are willing to try something new. 🎬✨
Now, it’s the learners’ turn to plan, script, film, edit, and present their own stories through vlogging.
From teacher modeling to learner creation, this performance task develops communication, creativity, critical thinking, digital literacy, and confidence—skills that go beyond the classroom.
