On Monday, September 28, 2026, learners, teachers, and parents gathered at the San Jose National High School Covered Court for the ARAL-Reading Program Kick-Off, leading a brighter and better literary rate in the school.
The morning kicked off with a heartfelt prayer led by Mrs. Anna M. Bullong, followed by a proud flag ceremony conducted by Sir Jonas C. Vergara. Secondary School Principal IV, Sir William M. Quiรฑones, PhD, took the stage next, delivering welcoming remarks that reminded everyone why they were there, this is to build a stronger foundation for the students through the power of literacy.
โ Following the opening, School ARAL Coordinator Mrs. Claire C. Sabado walked the crowd through an overview of the reading program, telling how the program will support and guide young learners in the months ahead.
โ One of the most encouraging moments of the morning was the sharing of words from Sir Marco Dulnuan, representing the School FPTA, delivered an inspiring message of support, proving that parents and families are locked with the school to help their kids succeed. After this is the Pledge of Commitment, where everyone in attendance vowed to champion the cause of reading.
โTo wrap up the inspiring event, Master Teacher II Mrs. Maria Jherrume L. Mercado delivered closing remarks thanking everyone for showing up and diving headfirst into the mission. Guided smoothly by Emcee Sir Rannie P. Dulay, GIP, the morning left everyone feeling ready to watch the learners unlock new worlds through reading.
