‎✦ 𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗟𝗬 ✦
‎
‎Before the activities, there are meetings like this.
‎
‎On 𝑨𝒖𝒈𝒖𝒔𝒕 19, 2026, BEEd students gathered for the General Assembly, with the SEE Officers taking the lead and SEE Adviser Ma’am Rohaima M. Sigayan providing guidance and support throughout the gathering.
‎
‎It was an evening for updates, reminders, proposals, and decisions. A few of the matters on the table included COEd Day preparations, competition assignments, facilitators, budget proposals, food committee concerns, activity guidelines, SEE Attendance Card matters, duty allocations, and the accomplished and proposed projects of the society.
‎
‎And then, in the middle of it all:

‎“I move to approve the first business.”
‎
‎“Seconded.”
‎
‎Just two short lines, but they moved the meeting forward.
‎
‎The First Year students also had their moment with a creative introduction that gave everyone a glimpse of their different personalities and talents. What was supposed to be a simple introduction turned into a little showcase of what our freshmen can do. Murag introduction lang unta, pero naa man diay hidden talents. ✨
‎
‎And, of course, we cannot leave out the very real “gutom na moments.” As the evening stretched on, the thought of finally heading home became harder to ignore. And when the meeting was finally nearing its end, everyone seemed ready to magdali-dali ug log out kay kaulion na.
‎
‎Those small, unscripted moments were not part of the agenda, but somehow, they became part of the memory.
‎

Why BEEd? What made us choose this path?

Honestly, there is no single reason why we ended up here.

Some chose BEEd because they genuinely love teaching and want to share what they learn with other students.
“𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑰 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝑩𝑬𝑬𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝑰 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔.”

Some already knew what they wanted to bring into a classroom someday.

And then, there are the reasons that are a little more personal, a little more unexpected, and honestly, very much us. 😭
“𝑨𝒏𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒈𝒖𝒅 𝒂𝒌𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒈𝒂 𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒚𝒈𝒂𝒔, 𝒃𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝒅𝒂𝒘 𝒔𝒂 𝒂𝒌𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒚, 𝒌𝒂𝒚 𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝒅𝒂𝒘 𝒌𝒐𝒈 𝒃𝒖𝒐𝒕.”

Different reasons. Different beginnings. Same four letters.

For this feature, we asked our BEEd students from First Year to Fourth Year to share the thoughts behind their choice. Not just the usual “𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒂 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓,” but the little reasons, experiences, and realizations that brought them here.

Why BEEd?
Why teaching?
And what made you stay?

Some answers are certain. Some are still figuring things out. Some might make you laugh. Others might make you pause and think, “𝑾𝒂𝒊𝒕… 𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒆.”

And maybe that is what makes these stories worth hearing.

BEEd is not one story told four times. It is a collection of different beginnings, different reasons, and different people slowly finding their place in the same profession.

So, here they are.

No rehearsed answers. No perfect explanations. Just BEEd students putting their own thoughts into words.

Different reasons. One journey. A thousand little stories behind the choice to become a teacher.

Your name fits you so well because you have a way of making people feel comfortable just by being yourself. Daghan kag energy nga makatakod, ug ang imong smile ug positivity dali kaayo makahatag og good mood sa mga tawo nga naa sa imong palibot. You have a special way of making people feel seen, appreciated, and welcome without even realizing it. That same warmth is reflected in everything you do for our SEE family.

Whether you are behind the camera capturing genuine smiles or behind every update that keeps everyone connected, you always remind us that the smallest moments are often the ones worth remembering. Thank you for helping us preserve not just photos and posts, but the memories that tell the story of our SEE family.

As you celebrate another year of life, we pray that every kindness you have shared finds its way back to you in the most beautiful ways. ‎At first, you'll probably wonder if you really belong here. You'll laugh at your first classroom demonstration, lose sleep over lesson plans, rush to meet deadlines, and sometimes ask yourself, "Kaya pa ba ni?" There will be days when you'll feel tired, uncertain, and overwhelmed.
‎
‎𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚'𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩.
‎
‎Without even realizing it, 𝒚𝒐𝒖'𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆. You'll learn to 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙖 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚, and discover that teaching is not only about delivering lessons but also about 𝙩𝙤𝙪𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨. The days that feel the hardest today may one day become the very moments that shape the person you're meant to be.

‎𝗦𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀. 𝑨𝒔𝒌 𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔. 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏 𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆. Celebrate every small victory, because one day, you'll realize that every late night, every challenge, and every "kaya pa" quietly 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚.

‎As you begin this journey, remember that 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱𝗹𝘆, 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀. The days ahead may not always be easy, but 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙗𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙛𝙪𝙡.
