The USG Senate successfully conducted its 7th Senate Regular Session, marking the approval on 3rd and Final Reading of the Proposed Revised USG Constitution by the Constituent Assembly.
This milestone reflects the collective effort of the Senate as Constituent Assembly, together with all the USG Executives, in carrying out a thorough and deliberative process. The session stands as a testament to the commitment to due process and ensuring that every provision has been carefully considered.
The Senate is set to convene again as a Constituent Assembly through the USG General Assembly to formally present the proposed Constitution to the student body. This will pave the way for its ratification in the Main Campus through the power of a plebiscite, where the students will ultimately decide on the adoption of the USG Constitution.

The USG Senate Leadership formally receives Certification from the CSU University Legal Office confirming that the Proposed Revised USG Constitution is legally sufficient and in conformity with existing University policies, as well as applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
This marks an important step in the constitutional process. It reflects the Senateβs effort to ensure that the proposed revisions are carefully reviewed, grounded in law, and aligned with the Universityβs standards.
As the process moves forward, the USG Senate remains committed to upholding transparency, accountability, and a governance framework that responds to the needs of the student body.

The University Student Government - 5th Legislative Branch invites all Golden Paddlers to the 2nd USG Senate Public Hearing on the Revision of the Constitution. This session, presided over by Senate Pres. Arthur John A. Atup, is dedicated to reviewing and refining the fundamental laws that govern our student body.
To ensure inclusive governance, the hearing will be held virtually via Google Meet and broadcast LIVE on Facebook this March 20, 2026, at 9:00 A.M.
