𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐍!

What happens when students make their voices heard?

Out of 4,454 student responses, 𝟑,𝟖𝟏𝟎 (𝟖𝟓.𝟓%) voted in 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐥 of the proposed revisions to the CSU-USG Constitution, while 𝟔𝟖 (𝟏.𝟓%) voted in 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐥 and 𝟓𝟕𝟔 (𝟏𝟐.𝟗%) chose to 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧.

Congratulations to the CSU Main University Student Government and the entire student body for the approval of the revised CSU-USG Constitution. This milestone reflects the collective effort of student leaders and students who took part in the process and exercised their right to vote.

Because a constitution is more than a document. It is a guide that should continue to reflect the needs, concerns, and aspirations of the students it serves.

𝐎𝐍 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐋: Last Day of Voting for the CSU USG-Main Constitution Ratification

The University Student Government reminds all students that today is the last day of voting for the proposed revision of the CSU USG-Main Constitution. Results will be announced tomorrow after the voting period closes.

Students are encouraged to participate as this directly shapes student governance. Failure to vote without a valid and duly recognized justification may result in temporary blocking of clearance.

The University Student Government released an informational material comparing the present Constitution and By-Laws (2020 Edition) and the proposed Constitution and By-Laws (2026 Edition) of the CSU Main Campus USG.

The 2020 CBL remains the current governing document of the USG, while the proposed 2026 CBL is currently awaiting ratification.

The University Student Government - Senate will hold its 8th Senate Regular Session on March 30, 2026, at 9:30 A.M. This session will formally present the newly approved Constitution following its approval on the 3rd and Final Reading by the USG Constituent Assembly. The session also serves as the prerequisite legislative step before the conduct of the plebiscite for the ratification of the proposed Constitution.

The session will be presided over by the Chairperson of the USG Constituent Assembly, Senate President Arthur John A. Atup.

Join us as we reach another historic milestone in student governance and witness the presentation of the proposed Constitution before it is brought to the student body for ratification through plebiscite.

𝐎𝐍 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐋: USG Senate Releases Official Senate Leadership and Committee Chairpersonships

The USG Senate officially released the organizational structure of the Senate Leadership together with the official list of Senate Committee Chairpersonships in preparation for the upcoming 8th Regular Session.

The posting also serves as an official record of the senators who assumed the different committee chairpersonships before the Senate enters Sine Die, formally concluding the legislative sessions of the 5th Legislative Branch.

The release reflects the Senate’s commitment to organization, accountability, and effective leadership within the legislative branch.
