The SILAK – THMP OJT Pinning Ceremony 2026 shone brightly thanks to the unwavering teamwork of our Tourism and Hospitality Management Program faculty, led by Dean Dr. Mark Lennon A. Sitones. Our THYMES SSG Officers played a vital role with their hands-on support, while our 1st- and 3rd-year students elevated the event through their dedication to their Continuous Learning Program (CLP). By applying their classroom learning to real-world hospitality and tourism tasks, these future professionals gained skills and confidence that will serve them well in their on-the-job training and beyond. 🌟

From planning to the final applause, every detail embodied the spirit of collaboration and pursuit of excellence. As the saying goes, “Teamwork divides the task and multiplies the success.” 💙 The abundance of captured memories proves this ceremony was not just successful—it was truly unforgettable and worthy of celebration from start to finish!

We were honored to welcome Ms. Carmen Docdocil Ponce, a distinguished FSUU alumna and the Municipal Tourism and Information Officer of Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, as a guest at our Pinning Ceremony. Her address emphasized to our students that dedication, perseverance, and passion are essential for achieving success in the tourism industry.

For the past three years, the Local Government Unit of Nasipit has served as a valued partner of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Program. Through this collaboration, we provide our on-the-job training (OJT) students with hands-on experience and practical learning opportunities in tourism. This partnership prepares future professionals by offering real-world industry exposure and service-oriented education.

The 2nd Year BSHM and BSTM students marked a significant milestone by formally commencing their journey into the tourism and hospitality industry through the THMP OJT Pinning Ceremony 2026. The event celebrated the dedication, perseverance, and preparedness of students as they were officially recognized prior to beginning their On-the-Job Training.

The ceremony became even more meaningful through the presence and support of parents and guardians who proudly accompanied their children during the pinning rites — a heartfelt symbol of encouragement, trust, and shared success. Together, the event reflected the true essence of SILAK — Stewards of the Industry, Leadership, Advancement, and Knowledge — as our future professionals prepare to carry these values with excellence and purpose.

The Tourism and Hospitality Management Program gathered in prayer and reflection during the Thanksgiving Mass held for the THMP OJT Pinning Ceremony on May 7, 2026, at the FSUU Gymnasium.

As second-year BSHM and BSTM students prepare to enter the professional world, this celebration served as a reminder to entrust future aspirations to faith. The program extends appreciation to all who participated in this significant occasion.
