CSU - College of Education's Project HUSAY is set to conduct the 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿-𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (Phase 1) on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at the Conference Room, New Administration Building, Caraga State University, Ampayon, Butuan City.

𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇 𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 | Empowering Teachers for AI-Ready Classrooms

Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping education, offering new opportunities to enhance teaching, learning, assessment, and classroom productivity. However, realizing its benefits depends greatly on teachers’ ability to understand, evaluate, and confidently integrate AI technologies into their professional practice.

A research study titled “𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬” examined the level of AI literacy and the factors influencing AI adoption among basic education teachers in Butuan City, Philippines. The researchers analyzed data from 243 randomly selected teachers using structural equation modeling and drew on the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework and Social Cognitive Theory.

The study found that AI literacy and positive affective-cognitive factors strongly influence teachers’ adoption of artificial intelligence, while behavioral intention plays an important role in linking teachers’ confidence and AI literacy. These findings highlight that providing access to AI tools alone is not enough—teachers also need appropriate knowledge, confidence, professional development, and institutional support to use these technologies effectively and responsibly.

The research emphasizes the importance of targeted professional development programs and supportive educational policies that can help bridge AI literacy gaps among teachers. Strengthening these competencies can equip educators to make informed decisions about AI, maximize its potential for teaching and learning, and respond responsibly to the continuing digital transformation of education.

𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧: Work and classes at both campuses of the university will be SUSPENDED on Monday, August 31, 2026, for the celebration of National Heroes Day, per OP Memorandum No. 266, s. 2026 and Proclamation No. 1006. With this, university operations will run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for the said week, excluding classes and teaching personnel with fixed schedules.

On this occasion, may we never forget the ‘whys’ behind the sacrifices of our heroes: why they chose to stand for freedom, truth, and the dignity of Filipinos and the Philippines. May their courage remind us that the love for our country should not only be remembered in history, but lived through the choices we make each day. Bugsay!
