The College of Arts and Sciences, proudly congratulates Dr. Mark Bon G. Basadre, DPA, on his well-deserved designation as Director of the Office of Internationalization, Student & Alumni Affairs (OISAA).

Dr. Mark Bon Basadre previously served as the Area Coordinator of the Public Administration and Human Services Area for AY 2025-2026, Chairperson of the Social Sciences Division for AY 2023-2025, and a dedicated faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences (formerly Arts and Sciences Program). His years of service reflect his continued commitment to the University and its academic community.

As he assumes this administrative role, the College of Arts and Sciences extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes for his continued success and meaningful service to the University.

𝗙𝗦𝗨𝗨 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 | 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Please be advised that classes from June 29-July 18, 2026, shall be conducted fully onsite, in order to ensure an orderly transition into the 1st Semester of A.Y. 2026-2027 and to accommodate students who are still completing their enrollment requirements.

The university shall also resume the implementation of the four-day workweek and hybrid learning modality effective July 20, 2026.

Classes shall follow a 2-day onsite (Monday and Tuesday) and 2-day online (Wednesday and Thursday) schedule. Courses requiring laboratory activities, clinical duties, practicum, workshops, or skills demonstrations shall continue to be conducted onsite, as necessary. Major examinations will also be conducted onsite.

The University shall remain open and fully accessible to students who have limited internet or lack adequate facilities for online learning.

Father Saturnino Urios University announces a public forum on political reform in the Philippines, highlighting a timely discussion on one of the country’s long-standing governance concerns.

The forum, titled “Dapat Isa Lang: Passing a Genuine Anti-Political Dynasty Law through a People’s Initiative,” will feature Miguel Karlo L. Abadines as resource speaker.

Scheduled on 4 June 2026, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM via Zoom, the forum seeks to examine the problem of political dynasties and corruption in the Philippine political system, the need for a genuine Anti-Political Dynasty Law, and the role of citizen participation in advancing legislative reform through a People’s Initiative.

The event is open to students, faculty members, and the general public who are interested in democratic governance, electoral reform, and civic engagement. Participants may scan the QR code in the official poster to access the Zoom link and join the session.

Congratulations to our alumnus, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐋𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐌. 𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬, 𝐃𝐌𝐃, for passing the May 2026 Dentist Licensure Exam (DLE)!

Dr. Tamesis has been an active student leader and has notably served the organization as the YBAMS President in 2017-2018 and graduated with the degree of BS Biology in March 2018.

He pursued Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in Southwestern University (SWU).

The Arts and Sciences Program proudly congratulates Mr. Lloyd Arvin Malaluan, LPT, MSc, on the publication of his research in the Journal of Chemical Learning Innovation. His study, “𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁?
