The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Butuan, during its 23rd Regular Session, approved Proposed SP Resolution No. 17-303-2026 commending the Butuanon athletes who represented Caraga Region during the 2026 Palarong Pambansa, dubbed "Palaro Tu AgSur," for bringing honor and pride to the city through their achievements in the national sporting event.
The measure also recognized the valuable contributions of the athletes' coaches for their guidance, dedication, and support in helping the participants excel in their respective events.
In approving the resolution, the city council recognizes the athletes' discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship, noting that their accomplishments have inspired fellow youth and aspiring athletes in the community.
