🚦 Learning to Be Safe, Responsible, and Considerate

Yesterday, our Junior High School students had a meaningful learning session on road safety and proper conduct as pedestrians with the City Transportation and Traffic Management Department.

We were grateful to welcome Mr. Omar Ramon Nonnato P. Arellano, Public Services Officer II, and Ms. Alliah Marie R. Bucong, Junior Transportation Regulations Officer, who took the time to speak with our students and remind them of the importance of being alert, responsible, and respectful while on the road.

These may seem like simple reminders, but they are lessons our students can carry with them every day. Knowing how to cross properly, follow traffic signs, stay alert, and consider the safety of others can help prevent accidents and, more importantly, protect lives.

As a Christian school, we also want our students to understand that responsibility and consideration for others are part of living out our faith. Even in something as ordinary as walking along the road, we have opportunities to show wisdom, self-control, and concern for others.

RETURN TO REGULAR CLASS SCHEDULE

Please be informed that we will return to our regular class schedule tomorrow, Monday, September 14.

However, the extreme heat remains a serious concern. Students are strongly encouraged to stay hydrated, bring water, and take necessary precautions against heat exposure.

⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS:
Please make arrangements to pick up your children as soon as classes are dismissed. Do not allow students to remain on campus longer than necessary, especially during the hotter hours of the day.

The safety and well-being of our students remain a priority. Your prompt cooperation is expected.

SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES

Please be advised that face-to-face classes at all levels are suspended tomorrow, September 4, 2026.

According to the official advisory from the City Government, particulate matter (PM 2.5) concentrations in Butuan City have reached Very Unhealthy levels (54 µg/Ncm recorded at the CSU Main Campus Station) and continue to rise. This suspension is a precautionary measure to minimize prolonged outdoor exposure and protect the health and safety of our students, faculty, and school personnel.

Parents and guardians are requested to check their respective group chats for further instructions and updates from their child's class supervisor.

‼️Compressed Class Schedule Extended

Due to the continued rise in temperature and the prevailing heat conditions in Butuan City, we will continue implementing the compressed class schedule tomorrow, Monday, August 24, 2026.

⏰ Compressed Schedule:
8:00 AM – 11:30 AM

We kindly ask parents and guardians to make the necessary arrangements for the prompt pick-up of students at 11:30 AM.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

After two days of cancelled classes due to the dangerous heat levels experienced in our city, we are grateful for your patience and understanding as we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students.

In compliance with the local government advisory issued on August 17, 2026 regarding the conduct of face-to-face classes, we will implement compressed class hours from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. tomorrow (August 19, 2026)

This shortened schedule will allow students to come to school, score their PACEs, and take their scheduled tests while minimizing their exposure to the heat.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE PICK UP YOUR CHILD AS SOON AS CLASSES END.

Please make arrangements for your children to be picked up promptly at 11:30 a.m. Please avoid having students remain on campus unnecessarily after the dismissal time. Our goal is to have our students safely on their way home right after dismissal.

Parents are encouraged also to exercise their discretion in deciding whether their child should attend school, especially if weather conditions or other related hazards make travel unsafe.

Please continue to monitor your child’s respective class group chat for further instructions and updates from his/her supervisor.
