We are pleased to inform everyone that face-to-face classes at Light and Life Learning Center Andaya, Inc. will resume tomorrow, August 19, 2026 (Wednesday).

However, due to the continuing extreme heat index in Butuan City, we will continue implementing the temporary adjusted class schedule for the safety and well-being of our learners.

Please be informed that tomorrow, August 18, 2026 (Tuesday), Light and Life Learning Center Andaya, Inc. (LLLCA) will conduct ONLINE CLASSES ONLY as an alternative to face-to-face classes.

This is in consideration of the possibility that the suspension of face-to-face classes may continue due to the high heat index in Butuan City. The safety and well-being of our pupils, teachers, and school personnel remain our priority.

📢 PUBLIC ADVISORY | FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES SUSPENDED

Dear Parents/Guardians and Learners of Light and Life Learning Center Andaya, Inc. (LLLCA),

Please be informed that, based on the latest public advisory, face-to-face classes will remain suspended tomorrow, August 17, 2026 (Monday), for ALL LEVELS in all public and private schools in Butuan City.

🌡️ This suspension is due to the dangerously high heat index, which is expected to reach as high as 43°C. This measure is intended to protect our pupils, teachers, and school personnel from heat-related illnesses.

📚 Alternative Learning
During the suspension of face-to-face classes, schools are encouraged to utilize alternative learning modalities, such as asynchronous or synchronous learning, as appropriate.

☀️ HEAT SAFETY REMINDERS

Please remind our children to:

💧 Drink water frequently and stay hydrated.
🏠 Stay indoors or remain in cool, shaded places whenever possible.
⏰ Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, especially during peak hours.
👕 Wear light, loose-fitting, and comfortable clothing.
🏃 Avoid strenuous physical activities during the hottest hours of the day.

If anyone experiences dizziness, headache, weakness, nausea, or other symptoms related to extreme heat, immediately rest in a cool place and seek assistance when necessary.

Due to the extreme heat and upon the recommendation of the CDRRMD, City Health Department, Butuan City DepEd, and PAG-ASA Butuan, face-to-face classes in ALL LEVELS in both public and private schools are suspended effective 10:00 AM today.

Therefore, there will be NO FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES at Light and Life Learning Center Andaya Inc. effective 10:00 AM today.

This suspension is being implemented to protect our pupils, teachers, and school personnel from possible heat-related illnesses.

Due to the extreme heat index being experienced in Butuan City, the School Administration of Light and Life Learning Center Andaya Inc. has decided to adjust the class schedules of our learners as a precautionary measure for their health, safety, and well-being.

The revised schedules will take effect Friday, August 14, 2026, onwards, and will remain in effect until the heat index situation improves and conditions are considered safe for our learners.
