RECAP | During the Regional Science Technology and Innovation Week (RSTW) conducted from July 28 to August 1, 2025, two of our volunteer interns from the FabLab, along with one intern from our Science Labs helped bring science to the people. Together, they shared and promoted the opportunities offered by Pisay, developments in the FabLab, and the benefits of scientific exposure to the community.

The Pisay Caraga Fabrication Laboratory facilitated the SumoBot Competition in support for this year’s ENTANGLEMENT STEM Festival 2024, during its opening day last September 26, 2024.

The competition ended with a surprising and inspiring win from the participants of Batch 2030 (Grade 7) after a knockout move during the 5th and final round of the match against their opponents from Batch 2025 (Grade 12) 🤖🤼‍♂️

Bots clashed 💥 Codes tweaked 💻 Wires soldered 🚨 Bonds were made 🤝 Fun and excitement attained ✨

IN PHOTOS | Scholars were able to safely observe the partial solar eclipse earlier by observing the shadow the moon was casting on the sun, through a slit cut on a piece of paper, and by forming slits with their hands.

Seen in the following photos is the crescent-shaped light caused by the moon partially aligning with the sun, obstructing the view of some of its parts.

The scholars were assisted by one of the FabLab's interns.
