The FSUU SSG Senate successfully held its 2nd Senate Session today, August 19, 2026, at the Senate Session Hall. The session focused on the Senate elections and key legislative matters, reaffirming their commitment to transparent, accountable, and student-centered governance.

The first wave of the 𝟭𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 celebration has arrived, and the 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 will officially begin this 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟮. 📣

Across every game, every match, and every challenge to come, our teams will battle both for victory and the pride of their crew, so expect fierce competitions and the kind of 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 and excitement that only University Days can bring which you surely won't want to miss.

With the 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 and the PAGASA-computed Heat Index expected to remain at concerning levels in the coming days, FSUU is temporarily allowing students to report to campus 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 to help everyone stay comfortable and safe.

Here’s a quick guide on the approved attire you may wear during this period. 👕👖

Please remember to dress 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 as this temporary adjustment is made with your well-being in mind.

𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗨𝗠 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: Our Urian Junior City Officials took part in the Youth Forum 2026 on August 18, as part of the City of Butuan’s celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026.

May the forum inspire them to speak, listen, and act with purpose even more!

𝗙𝗦𝗨𝗨 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 | 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

In view of the continued high and alarming heat index in Butuan City, and in consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the University community, face-to-face classes shall remain suspended until further notice.

In the meantime, classes shall continue synchronously online following the regular class schedules. FSUU Learn shall be updated with learning content and assessments to support the attainment of learning outcomes.

University offices shall remain open, and regular office transactions shall continue as scheduled.

All members of the University community are reminded to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions against extreme heat. Stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary exposure to heat, and prioritize your health and safety while fulfilling your respective academic responsibilities.

The University will continue to monitor prevailing conditions and issue a subsequent advisory on the resumption of face-to-face classes as soon as conditions permit.

As part of the Junior City Youth Officials Program, our student leaders will have the opportunity to experience public service and local governance through office immersion and observation in their assigned City Government offices on August 17.

The celebration continues on August 18 with attendance at the Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod at the SP Session Hall in the morning, followed by a Youth Forum at Conference Room 1 in the afternoon.

Following the advisory issued by the City Government of Butuan, classes at all levels will continue to be conducted online on August 17, 2026, Monday until further notice.

All face-to-face activities shall likewise remain suspended to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of everyone. Office transactions, however, shall continue from 8:00AM - 5:00PM per OP Memo No. 5 S. 2026.
