TEP faculty members and the third-year students gathered virtually on December 12 for the Community Extension Service (CES) Orientation featuring the initiative TUGON: Educate to Evangelize, an expanded Tulong-Dunong program designed to strengthen the universityโs commitment to service, learning, and faith-driven outreach. The orientation, conducted via Zoom, formally introduced students to their roles in assisting the catechists of the partner parish community. Serving as the resource speaker, Dr. Arlyn M. Floreta, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research, delivered a meaningful and insightful discussion on the significance of TUGON as both a mission and an opportunity for transformative engagement. Through TUGON: Educate to Evangelize, FSUU continues to strengthen its mission of forming service-oriented Urians.

TEP pre-service-teachers participated in the Khan Academy Internship Program, marking a key step toward strengthening the digital learning ecosystem that will support the implementation of Khan Academy in DepEd schools across CARAGA. On December 11, Khan Academy Philippines facilitated a training and capacity-building session via Zoom, designed to prepare the pre-service teachers for the effective use of the Khan Academy platform into classroom instruction. As part of their upcoming responsibilities, the interns will assist in teacher trainings and workshops, and visit various schools to observe classes and provide on-site support to both teachers and students.

The Teacher Education Programโs Tulong-Dunong initiative concluded its month-long literacy engagement with a meaningful culmination program held on November 29, at Mahay Integrated SchoolโElementary. The event celebrated the dedication of pre-service teachers who implemented targeted literacy support for Grades 1 to 6 learners throughout the program. School Principal, Mrs. Rosabelle S. Cubillas gave certificates of appreciation to the student interns and the supervising instructors, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to strengthening the schoolโs literacy initiatives. Similarly, the pre-service teachers personally handed simple tokens to the children as a gesture of gratitude for their enthusiasm, cooperation, and perseverance throughout the program. The event concluded with closing messages of gratitude, underscoring the shared commitment to quality education and community service. The day ended with smiles, and a renewed hope for continued collaboration.

The Tulong Dunong Program of TEP was recognized by the Department of Education as the Top Division Stakeholder for 2025 during the Stakeholders' Awards and Recognition Ceremony held on November 26 at the LMX Convention Center, Butuan City.The recognition affirms the program's commitment to improving literacy, and supporting school initiatives.The program dean received the award on behalf of the Teacher Education Program.

The event, organized by the City Education Development Department (CEDD), took place on November 18, 2025, in Butuan City.

The Teacher Education Program (TEP) successfully conducted an Input on Institutional Research Guidelines and Format for Thesis Writing on November 12. The activity gathered participants from the Teacher Education Program and the Arts and Sciences Program, including research instructors, advisers, and members of the panel of evaluators. It also served as an orientation and training for third-year Education students, who are currently preparing for their undergraduate thesis.
Serving as the resource speaker, Dr. Joseph El Roy B. Cassion II, Research and Publication Coordinator, provided insightful guidance on the institutional research framework, standard format, and evaluation process. His discussion aimed to strengthen research competence among faculty and students, emphasizing the importance of producing quality academic outputs that contribute to the institutionโs goals of excellence and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
