The FSUU-Research and Publication successfully concluded the FSUU Conference 2026 Pre Conference Workshop held yesterday, September 15, 2026, at the CB Conference Room. The workshop brought together teaching and non teaching personnel for a day of learning, writing, and sharing. It provided participants with an orientation on the FSUU Conference 2026 theme, as well as practical guidance on developing and presenting impactful research abstracts.

The workshop began with Dr. Joseph El Roy B. Cassion II, Research and Publication Coordinator, who provided an overview of the rationale and direction of the FSUU Conference 2026 theme.

This was followed by Dr. Arlyn M. Floreta, PhD, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research, who led an engaging session on How to Write a Good Abstract, equipping participants with practical strategies for crafting clear, concise, and compelling research abstracts.

Participants then put their learning into practice through the Abstract Writing Workshop and Presentation of Abstract, where they had the opportunity to present their work and receive valuable feedback from Dr. Arlyn M. Floreta, Ms. Donna F. Espuerta, and Dr. Etimar T. Castro, Jr.

As part of the workshop, participants are encouraged to take the next step by finalizing and submitting their abstracts and presenting their research at the FSUU Conference 2026.

The conference will be held on December 2 and 3, 2026, anchored on the theme: “Research and Innovation for Humanity: Hope for Sustainable Futures.”

Anchored on the theme, “Research and Innovation for Humanity: Hope for Sustainable Futures,” we proudly invite everyone to submit their abstracts (250-300 words) of scholarly works that place humanity at the center of inquiry and action.

The pursuit of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) continues to challenge institutions, governments, communities, and scholars to respond to the pressing realities of our time. As the world moves closer to the 2030 Agenda deadline, many SDG indicators remain unmet. In celebration of FSUU’s 125 years of institutional legacy and service, this Research Conference invites everyone to engage in meaningful conversations and co-create knowledge that will safeguard the future of generations to come.
