FSUU Implements QR Attendance System at the i-TAG 3G Prayer Gathering

The FSUU Innovation, Data Empowerment, and Analytics Office – Data Science and Analytics Center proudly supported the i-TAG 3G Prayer (Gathering for Good Governance) organized by the Diocese of Butuan last November 29, 2025.

To ensure a smooth and secure participation of FSUU students, the DSAC team facilitated the QR-code scanning system used for attendance monitoring. Students received their unique QR codes after completing the University’s outing form and securing parental consent.

📍 Two-Point Scanning System:
• Entry Scan – confirmation of arrival and participation
• Exit Scan – verification that students were safely accounted for before leaving

This system helped assure that all participating students were properly monitored, guided, and well accounted for throughout the event.

A big salute and gratitude to the FSUU Criminal Justice and Education Program interns who served as scanners and marshals, assisting in crowd flow and ensuring orderly procedures.

🤝 THANK YOU to the FSUU IDEA–DSAC Team for serving as the developers and primary implementation group—leading the QR system setup, orientation, and real-time monitoring in partnership with our dedicated interns.

Together, we continue to uphold FSUU’s commitment to innovation, safety, and community engagement. 💙✨

✨ FSUU Breaks Ground for Innovation and Local Industry Growth ✨
November 10, 2025 — Butuan City

Father Saturnino Urios University, in strong partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry Caraga, officially held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the FSUU Shared Service Facility at Libertad, Butuan City. The facility will soon serve as a Packaging and Labeling Center for Caraga’s MSMEs, providing world-class branding support to help local products compete confidently in national and global markets.

The center will also host the DOST Food Innovation Center, expanding opportunities for product development, research, and value-adding services in the region’s growing agri-industry landscape.

During the ceremony, DTI Caraga Regional Director RD Gay A. Tidalgo highlighted the significance of this milestone and reflection on this journey:

“Finally, the vision into reality. This center represents our shared commitment to empower MSMEs—giving them the capacity to transform their products, elevate their branding, and expand to markets beyond our region. After having to benchmark in Thailand, the SSF was a dream, a vision, that sooner we can have such facility in the Philippines, and now, it is the only one and it is here in Butuan”

FSUU President Rev. Fr. Randy Jasper C. Odchigue, S.Th.D., expressed gratitude for the continued collaboration between academia, government, and industry—stressing that this facility is not just infrastructure, but a platform for innovation, enterprise growth, and community upliftment.

The ceremony gathered representatives from DTI, DOST CARAGA, and the FSUU leadership and project teams—marking the beginning of a new chapter for inclusive economic development in Caraga. 🌱🤝🚀
