On September 16, 2026, the Seminar Workshop on AF Enterprise Development and Proposal Preparation brought together 4th-year BSAF students at the ๐‡.๐„.๐‘.๐Ž. ๐‹๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐‹๐จ๐Ÿ๐ญ, ๐‚๐š๐ซ๐š๐ ๐š ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, for a day of learning, collaboration, and idea-building under the theme,

The workshop highlighted how agroforestry can go beyond production by creating enterprise opportunities, strengthening livelihoods, and supporting community development. Through engaging discussions and hands-on activities, participants explored how practical ideas can be transformed into feasible enterprise proposalsโ€”connecting sustainable practices with real community needs and opportunities.

Day 1 was more than just a seminar; it was a step toward turning ideas into action. With new insights, shared perspectives, and stronger foundations for proposal development, the participants took another step toward developing innovative agroforestry enterprises that can support communities and contribute to a more sustainable tomorrow.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our resource speakers, Dr. Tomas M. Austral, Deputy Consortium Director of CCAARD; For. Liezel C. Obo, Head of Graduate Tracer and Database Management; Ms. Ma Kuh Sheila Anne T. Ladera, MSc.; and Ms. Jessan C. Through creativity, storytelling, and advocacy, each group highlights the ecological importance of these protected areas, the need for biodiversity conservation, the role of environmental laws and policies, and the importance of responsible environmental action.

On April 30, 2026, the 4th Year BS Agroforestry students successfully concluded their ๐™€๐™ฃ๐™ซ๐™ž๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™ข๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ก ๐™„๐™ข๐™ฅ๐™–๐™˜๐™ฉ ๐˜ผ๐™จ๐™จ๐™š๐™จ๐™จ๐™ข๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ (๐™€๐™„๐˜ผ) ๐™Ž๐™š๐™ข๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™–๐™ง held at the Hiraya Hall, Caraga State University. This activity formed part of their academic requirement for the course SFI 134 โ€“ Environmental Impact Assessment of Natural Resource Management Projects.

The seminar was spearheaded by the SFI 134 faculty: For. Liezel C. Obo, Ms. Jessan C. Desalago, and Ms. Marichu C. Gipulan, MESF., whose guidance ensured a meaningful and enriching learning experience for the students.
