BUTUAN CITY, August 24, 2026 - The Philippine National Police (PNP) Station 5, San Mateo, in partnership with Barangay Officials, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Officers, and School Principal Sir Hipolito C. Rosalada, spearheaded a joint initiative to strengthen campus safety at Tungao National High School.

The activity centered on a systematic inspection of studentsโ€™ bags to prevent the entry of fi****ms, bladed weapons, and other prohibited items. This proactive measure reinforced the schoolโ€™s commitment to providing a secure and conducive learning environment.

Police officers from Station 5, San Mateo Butuan City, under the leadership of PCPT Jun M. Orillan, worked hand in hand with barangay officials and PTA Officials at the school gate. The inspection was conducted respectfully, with emphasis on educating students about discipline and vigilance.

School administrators and community leaders supervised the process, highlighting the shared responsibility of all stakeholders in promoting peace and order. Following the inspection, a short classroom orientation was held to remind students that the presence of law enforcement and community officials is meant to protect rather than intimidate.

TNHS ADVISORY: Routine Bag Inspection and Student Guidelines
The safety, security, and discipline of our students remain our topmost priorities.

As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly learning environment, Tungao National High School (TNHS) reminds everyone of the following campus policies:

Routine Bag Inspections: Inspections are currently being conducted for all Junior High School and Senior High School students upon entering the campus gates. Please have your bags ready to ensure a smooth and quick entry.

School Uniform: Students are encouraged to wear their prescribed school uniform (or a plain white shirt) from Monday to Thursday. Every Friday, PE Uniform or any appropriate shirts.

School IDs: For those who already have their official school IDs, please make sure to wear them at all times while inside the school premises.
