📢 The SVNHS – Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) is humbly launching a Donation Drive to support the families affected by the recent fire in Purok 7, San Vicente, Butuan City.

In times of hardship, our strength is found in unity, compassion, and bayanihan. Let us come together as one SanVicentian community and extend our helping hands to those who have lost their homes, belongings, and daily necessities. Every donation—big or small—is a step toward helping these families recover, rebuild, and find hope once again. Your generosity can make a meaningful difference in their lives. 🤍

👕 Used Clothes – Clean and wearable clothes for children and adults.

🥫 Canned Goods – Ready-to-eat or easy-to-prepare food items.

💧 Bottled Drinking Water – Safe and clean drinking water.

🧼 Hygiene Kits – Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sanitary pads, and other personal hygiene essentials.

🛏️ Blankets & Pillows – To provide warmth, comfort, and support.

📦 Other Basic Necessities – Rice, instant noodles, biscuits, baby essentials, towels, slippers, and other useful household items.

💵 Cash Donations – Voluntary financial assistance for the immediate needs of the affected families.

📍 Beneficiaries: Families affected by the fire in Purok 7, San Vicente, Butuan City.

Yesterday, August 5, 2026, the San Vicente National High School – Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SVNHS–SSLG), represented by Joshua David N. Pando, SSLG President, together with Alexie Grace Bunio, SSLG Auditor, proudly attended the 2026 State of the City Address (SOCA) of the City Government of Butuan, delivered by City Mayor Hon. Atty. Lawrence Lemuel H. Fortun.

The State of the City Address serves as a vital platform where the local government presents its accomplishments, ongoing initiatives, and future development plans. More than an annual report, it reflects the city's commitment to transparency, accountability, and meaningful public participation while inspiring every citizen—especially the youth—to become active partners in building a stronger and more progressive community.

The SVNHS–SSLG extends its sincere appreciation to the City Government of Butuan for the opportunity to witness this significant occasion. As student leaders, we remain steadfast in our commitment to championing youth empowerment, fostering civic engagement, and working hand in hand with our local government in creating positive and lasting change for the learners and the community we proudly serve.
