Nasipit Youth Empowerment Summit: Local Leaders and Experts Unite to Safeguard the Future of the Youth
NASIPIT, AGUSAN DEL NORTE — In a powerful display of community collaboration, Propelling Our Inherited Nation Through Our Youth Inc. (Nasipit Chapter), in partnership with Cleo S. Leona and Prinze Harold T. Tablon, successfully conducted a comprehensive educational symposium aimed at equipping the next generation with vital life skills and awareness.
The event featured a diverse panel of resource speakers, each tackling critical issues facing today's youth, ranging from national security and public health to environmental stewardship and personal well-being.
Key Highlights and Sessions:
National Security & Sovereignty: 1LT Mary Nicole T. Llamas (MI) PA delivered a compelling session on "Saving the Youth and the West Philippine Sea (WPS)," emphasizing the role of young Filipinos in national stability.
Mental Health & Wellness: Shen Ellah T. Garcia, CHRA, led a heartfelt discussion on Mental Health Awareness, providing students with tools to navigate the emotional challenges of modern life.
Health & Safety: Critical awareness sessions were conducted by PFC Art Ervin B. Español (INF) PA on HIV/AIDS Awareness and PMSG Junrey S. Napuli on Drug Awareness and Protection, focusing on prevention and informed decision-making.
Environmental & Social Responsibility: Hon. Jasper Jay P. Ledesma shared his expertise on two vital fronts: Environmental Protection and the social impact of Teenage Pregnancy, encouraging participants to be proactive leaders in their communities.
The symposium was marked by high levels of engagement, with youth participants joining in interactive workshops, including poster-making activities that visually represented their commitment to staying drug-free and protecting their future.
"By bringing together military leaders, health professionals, and local officials, we are providing our youth with a holistic shield against the risks they face today," said the event organizers. "This partnership with Cleo S. Leona and Prinze Harold T. Tablon underscores our belief that it takes a whole community to raise and protect a leader."
This initiative is part of a continuing series of programs by the Nasipit Chapter to ensure that the youth remain the "hope of the fatherland" through education, vigilance, and active civic participation.

Nasipit Youth Organization Leads Successful Coastal Clean-Up Drive in Barangay Aclan
NASIPIT, AGUSAN DEL NORTE — Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to environmental stewardship, members of Propelling Our Inherited Nation Through Our Youth Inc. (Nasipit Chapter) organized a comprehensive community clean-up drive in Barangay Aclan.
The initiative brought together youth volunteers and local residents to address waste accumulation along the area’s coastal and riverside sections. Participants spent the morning collecting debris and clearing natural waterways, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a healthy ecosystem for the community's future.
Beyond the physical labor of the "Clean-Up Drive," the event served as a platform for community engagement. Following the collection efforts, volunteers and residents gathered to distribute essential supplies and discuss long-term sustainability goals.
"Our goal is not just to clean the environment today, but to inspire a culture of responsibility among the youth and the residents of Nasipit," said a representative of the Nasipit Chapter. "By working together in Barangay Aclan, we show that collective action can lead to a cleaner, greener nation."
The Nasipit Chapter of Propelling Our Inherited Nation Through Our Youth Inc. continues to spearhead local projects aimed at nation-building through active youth participation and civic duty.

The POINTY Nasipit Chapter proudly took part in the recently conducted the 2nd Youth Intervention Activity with the theme “Seeds of Change: Empowering the Youth Toward Positive Transformation,” held on April 24–26, 2026, at Buenavista National High School, Brgy. Matabao, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte.
Cleo S. Leona and Prinze Tablon, both dedicated members of the POINTY Nasipit chapter, served as facilitators throughout the three-day activity, alongside fellow members from other municipalities. Together, they guided and supported participants in every session, reflecting a strong spirit of collaboration and shared commitment to youth development.
The activity provided a valuable platform for young individuals to develop life skills, enhance their mental wellness, and strengthen their sense of leadership and responsibility. Through interactive sessions, team-building activities, and psychosocial engagements, participants were given the opportunity to express themselves, build connections, and rediscover their purpose.
With the collaboration of various youth organizations and partner agencies, the program became a safe and inspiring space for growth, learning, and positive transformation.

Sa kasamtangang kahimtang sa Pilipinas, nga nag-atubang sa krisis ug panagbangi sa politika nga nagdala og pagkabahinbahin sa katawhan, daghang hagit ug problema ang giatubang sa nasud. Ayaw kamo pag-apil sa mga rally nga puno sa kasuko ug negatibong aktibismo nga nagpalala lang sa kagubot. POINTY NASIPIT CHAPTER HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETING WITH 402ND INFANTRY (STINGERS) BRIGADE
The POINTY Nasipit Chapter actively participated in a strategic meeting held at the 402nd Infantry (STINGERS) Brigade, 4ID, PA, Barangay Bancasi, Butuan City, in the afternoon of April 19, 2026, strengthening collaboration and reinforcing partnerships in advancing youth-centered initiatives and community development.
The meeting was spearheaded by Glynmer Jamito, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of POINTY Inc. Central Office, highlighting the importance of unified direction, organizational strengthening, and collaborative action in achieving the group’s goals.
Key discussions during the activity focused on upcoming plans and programs, as well as the reorganization and appointment of new officers to fill vacant positions within the chapter. This initiative aims to ensure continuity of leadership and enhance the effectiveness of the organization at the local level.
Present during the meeting were Nasipit Cluster representatives Cleo S. Leona, Chrztyl C. Calipusan, and Arjay Namocatcat, alongside participants from various municipalities across Agusan del Norte. It served as a platform to align priorities, strengthen coordination, and build stronger partnerships among stakeholders.
This engagement reflects POINTY’s continued commitment to fostering unity, leadership, and active youth participation in building safer, more empowered, and resilient communities.

STRENGTHENS TIES WITH 4TH CIVIL
MILITARY “KASALIGAN” BATTALION
THROUGH COURTESY VISIT
The POINTY Inc. Nasipit Chapter, together with selected officers and members from Agusan del Norte chapters, conducted a meaningful courtesy visit to the 4th Civil Military “Kasaligan” Battalion, Philippine Army, located at Barangay Bancasi, Butuan City, on April 19, 2026.
The visit was warmly received under the leadership of LTC Gerald John A. Saldo ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of the 4th Civil Military “Kasaligan” Battalion, highlighting the strong relationship and continuous partnership between the Philippine Army and civic youth organizations in promoting peace, development, and community involvement.
During the courtesy call, the group presented and discussed the essence of POINTY—its vision, mission, and continuing achievements as a youth-driven organization committed to leadership development, volunteerism, and community service. The dialogue also focused on strengthening the effectiveness of POINTY initiatives through enhanced coordination, active participation, and sustained partnership with various institutions.
Representing the POINTY Nasipit Chapter were Cleo S. Leona, Chrztyl C. Calipusan, Prinze Tablon, Arjay Namocatcat, along with other officers and members from different chapters in Agusan del Norte. The team actively engaged in discussions aimed at reinforcing organizational growth and expanding its impact among the youth and communities.
The 4th Civil Military “Kasaligan” Battalion expressed its support and encouragement to the organization, emphasizing the importance of youth involvement in nation-building and civic responsibility.

Nasipit, Agusan del Norte – The Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) successfully convened its 2nd Quarter Meeting and conducted a Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) cm LCPC Functionality Assessment Technical Assistance at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.
The meeting served as a platform to review and strengthen the municipality's efforts in upholding children's rights and welfare. It also aimed to assess the functionality of the LCPC through the provision of technical assistance aligned with national standards for child-friendly local governance.
Representatives from various sectors and agencies actively participated, including local government officials, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), and other key stakeholders in child protection.
Jade Marimon, representing Propelling Our Inherited Nation Through Our Youth (POINTY) Inc.-Nasipit Cluster, was invited to attend the meeting as part of the LCPC membership. POINTY Inc. is a youth-led organization committed to promoting active youth participation in governance and community development.
