Tatlumpu't-siyam (39) g**o ng Burgos National High School (BNHS) ang tumanggap ng kani-kanilang lapel voice amplifiers sa isang simpleng seremonya ng turnover na ginanap noong Agosto 13, 2026 sa BNHS Gymnasium.

Layunin ng inisyatibang ito na mabigyan ang mga g**o ng karagdagang kagamitang panturo na makatutulong sa pagpapalakas ng kanilang boses habang nagtuturo, lalo na sa malalaking klase. Makatutulong din ito upang mabawasan ang labis na pagkapagod o pagkapuwersa ng boses ng mga g**o.

Sa kanyang mensahe, Dr. Manolito L. Peรฑa, Punongg**o ng BNHS, ay binati ang mga g**ong tumanggap ng kagamitan. Hinikayat niya ang mga ito na gamitin nang wasto ang mga voice amplifier at pangalagaan ang mga ito upang mapakinabangan nang matagal at maging bahagi ng mas epektibong pagtuturo.

Ang pamamahagi ng mga kagamitan ay bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng pamahalaan na suportahan ang kapakanan ng mga g**o at mapahusay ang paghahatid ng dekalidad na edukasyon sa mga pampublikong paaralan.

Driven by her passion for education and lifelong learning, Ms. Gumiran earned her degree in Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education, majoring in Home Economics, from Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College. Her academic preparation has equipped her with the knowledge, skills, and values essential in nurturing young minds and inspiring students to discover their own potential.

As she enters the professional field for the first time, Ms. Gumiran carries with her an eagerness to learn, a commitment to serve, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of learners and the school community. Every accomplished educator begins with a first step, and hers is marked by determination, optimism, and the willingness to grow alongside her colleagues and students.

Following the ceremony, a simple opening program was led by the SSLG officers under the guidance of Ms. Dianne Galicia, SSLG adviser.

Mr. Benito Dagdag, Head Teacher III, introduced the BNHS staff to the student body. Teachers from each grade level, along with the administrative personnel, were called to center stage to be recognized.

To energize the crowd, Ms. Galicia facilitated a knowledge game covering DepEd learning updates and related topicsโ€”an engaging way to check learnersโ€™ awareness of recent changes within DepEd.

Before the program concluded, School Principal Dr. Manolito L. Peรฑa delivered a brief, encouraging message. He welcomed learners to the new school year and urged them to adopt better learning habits to foster academic growth. He also reminded everyone of school policies, emphasizing the No Cellphone Policy and its corresponding sanctions. โ€œUbbing agsingsingpet kayo ken liklikan yu ti agaramid ti maikaniwas iti rules and regulations ti school,โ€ he said.

Setting the right tone at the beginning of the school year may not be mandated, but it is essential. A simple, well-executed opening program helps condition learners on how to behave and engageโ€”laying a strong foundation for a productive year ahead.
