We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Province of Ilocos Norte and the Schools Division of Ilocos Norte (SDOIN) for giving the opportunity to TARNAW Dance Troupe from Burgos Agro-Industrial School to perform at the Grand Opening Parade during the Opening Ceremonies of the PALARONG PAMBANSA 2025 on May 24, 2025, in Laoag City.

Thank you to our school administration, teachers, and staff, especially our Principal, Mr. Angelito T. Bautista , and to our supportive parents.

A huge thanks to our dancers, Sir Richard Caldoza (choreographer), Sir Nestor Vidad Jr. . (co-choreographer), Azrel Kian Aleta (SSLG President), Lourenz Aleta Fernandez (MAPEH Club President), Charlie Pambid and Carlvyn Anacleto (sound system operators), Galzote Digital Printing SHOP (uniforms), and Brgy. The Tarnaw Dance Troupe of Burgos Agro-Industrial School sincerely thanks everyone who supported our participation in the dance competition during the Semana ti Araria Festival, where we proudly represented the Local Government Unit of Burgos, Ilocos Norte.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Hon. Crescente N. Garcia, Municipal Mayor of Burgos; the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte headed by Hon. Matthew Marcos Manotoc; our school head, Sir Angelito T. Bautista, PhD; and our Head Teachers, Sir Tarsucius I. Bumagat and Ma'am Gladys A. Garcia, for their unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement.

It is also an Ilocano term with the variety, agdaklis, meaning to fish with the use of a net.

Burgos Agro-Industrial School was featured in a post highlighting the Tarnaw Dance Troupe, which performed during the BAIS Foremost Alumni and Employees Association Inc. 8th Grand Alumni Homecoming 2024, held on December 14, 2024, at the Burgos Municipal Auditorium in Burgos, Ilocos Norte.

Dance: TIKLOS
Description: The Tiklos is a native peasant dance of Leyte. During breaks the peasants enjoy themselves with tuba (a native wine) and the rest dance the tiklos accompanied by the subing (plawta), guimbal and tambora drums or when available, the “sista” played by the band. The Tiklos music is also played to call them back to work.

Description: exciting new style called breakdancing. However, from voguing to walking like an Egyptian, nothing captured the imagination of the nation like The Moonwalk. Michael Jackson took this sweet illusion from the age of Cab Calloway and blew it up to galactic proportions. The appearance of effortlessly gliding backwards across the floor still excites people around the world today!

1990s:The Macarena
From new country line dancing sensations like Billy Ray Cyrus’s Achy Breaky Heart to fresh and funky romps like The Cabbage Patch and the Running Man, 90s kids had their pick of fun novelties and celebratory moves. Burgos Agro-Industrial School was featured in a post highlighting the Tarnaw Dance Troupe, The Big Three, and Quadro Koro, which performed during the BAIS Foremost Alumni and Employees Association Inc. 8th Grand Alumni Homecoming 2024, held on December 14, 2024, at the Burgos Municipal Auditorium in Burgos, Ilocos Norte.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible mentors: Sir Jed Guira and Sir Nicole Calidro for the Choral Group, and Ma'am Mary Ann Corpuz and Sir Rich Caldoza for the dance performances. Meaning of "Tarnaw"
