On March 26, 2026, student leaders from across the Eastern Visayas State University system gathered at the EVSU – Carigara Campus for the Federation of Student Government (FSG) Monthly Meeting. This significant assembly served as a vital platform for discourse and unified action among the various campuses within the university system.

Our very own EVSU – Burauen Campus Supreme Student Government Officers were in attendance, proudly representing our campus in this university-wide collaboration. The day was dedicated to strategic planning and synergy, all aimed at enhancing the Federation’s ability to serve the EVSU student body, followed by the official appointments of Commissioners and Secretaries. These new leaders will play a crucial role in executing our collective vision and ensuring that the student voice remains at the forefront of university governance.

Please be informed that the University Entrance Examination will be conducted over two (2) days, on March 18 and March 19, 2026.

Furthermore, applicants originally scheduled for March 20, 2026, are hereby rescheduled to March 18, 2026, which will be the first day of the examination. All concerned applicants are requested to follow the updated examination schedule and time indicated in the list for their guidance.

Applicants are reminded to bring the following on the day of the examination:

-Ballpen
-Examination Form (for verification)

Kindly arrive at the testing venue at least 30 minutes before your scheduled examination time to allow sufficient time for verification and proper seating.

Eastern Visayas State University implements a 4-day on-site work schedule (Monday–Thursday) and Work-from-Home on Fridays, effective March 9, 2026, in compliance with Memorandum Circular No. 114, s. 2026 and in support of national energy conservation efforts.

In line with this, the Compressed Work Week will also take effect to ensure continuous delivery of services and productivity within the adjusted schedule.

Classes will remain face-to-face from Monday to Thursday, while Friday classes will be conducted asynchronously or online, except for courses requiring hands-on laboratory activities.

Please be guided accordingly.

As we make these institutional adjustments in response to the ongoing global geopolitical tensions, we humbly ask the entire EVSU family to take a moment with us to pray for peace. May compassion and understanding guide our global leaders to resolve conflicts, and may stability, safety, and healing be swiftly restored to our world.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: To elect the student regent for the Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) system, Students Affairs Service Office (SASO) has conducted Federation of Student Government (FSG) Elections at the Administration Building on Tuesday, February 24.

The polling elected Carigara Campus Supreme Student Government (SSG) President Hon. Rochelle Naadat after she secured three out of six votes from the SSG presidents of the EVSU system.

Candidates were chosen through nominations, and each presented their respective platforms and policy directions for the university and participated in a question-and-answer portion facilitated by a representative from the Student Publications Office (SPO).

The election was conducted under the guidance of SASO Director Dr. Sonia Enrille and Student Affairs Office (SAO) Head Eliditha Easter Gervacio, and was attended by SSG presidents from all campuses: Aaron Vincent Contillo of Burauen Campus, Welgreg Antoya of Dulag Campus, Netny Vohn Redoña of Tanauan Campus, Erwin Satinitigan Jr. of Ormoc Campus, and Christine Jane Gere of the Main Campus. | 📸: Jesalyn Martinez via Carl Anthony Dotingco, The Industrial Wheel News
