Roxas Elementary School successfully conducted its School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) today September 21, 2026, a vital program of the Department of Education aimed at addressing hunger and improving the nutritional status of our learners.
The activity started with a short orientation on proper handwashing, health, and nutrition led by our SBFP coordinator and volunteer parents. Our identified beneficiaries from Kindergarten to Grade 6 happily received their nutritious meals prepared with the help of our dedicated teachers and supportive parents.
More than just feeding, this program fosters good eating habits, promotes health and wellness, and ensures that no learner is left behind due to hunger. We observed the joy and excitement in our learners as they shared meals together, showing the true spirit of care and community in our school.
We extend our sincerest gratitude to DepEd Philippines for this meaningful program, to our Schools Division Office of Leyte, to our Burauen East District Head Ma'am Laura Cagara, to our School Head Sir Michael Cabrera, to Anabel Bioc and to all parents and teachers who made this activity a success.
Together, we nourish not only the body but also the minds and future of our learners.
