𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗲𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁

Mr. Andy Mark Macalam, Head of the Public and External Relations Committee, and his JCO, Janis L. Maurillo attended the 3-day Burauen Youth Leadership Summit, held from August 14–16, 2026, at Hibunauan National High School, Barangay Hinabunawan, Burauen, Leyte, successfully gathered enthusiastic youth participants under the theme “Empowering Young Leaders: Building Safe, Resilient, and Future-Ready Communities.”

Organized in collaboration with the 93rd Infantry “Bantay Kapayapaan” Battalion (93IB), the summit aimed to strengthen youth leadership, resilience, teamwork, discipline, and community involvement. The event was attended by LTC Celeste Frank L. Sayson INF (GSC) PA, Battalion Commander of 93IB, together with local government officials, school representatives, health personnel, and youth leaders.

Participants engaged in physical and mental challenges that promoted teamwork, sportsmanship, critical thinking, discipline, and camaraderie. The summit also featured discussions on national security, youth responsibility, mental health, stress management, and bullying prevention, encouraging the youth to become responsible and proactive members of their communities.

Through the collective efforts of the 93IB, local government officials, schools, youth organizations, Central Student Council representatives, and other stakeholders, the summit successfully inspired young participants to develop the leadership and resilience needed to help build safe, responsible, and future-ready communities.

The 1st Student Council Assembly (SCA) was successfully held on August 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM onwards at the TESDA Room, presided over by the President of the Central Student Council, Ms. Francine Jainee Maraya.

The assembly was also attended by the three Student Council Organizations, including the College of Business and Public Administration (CBPA) and Iustitia Quaesitor (IQ), who actively participated by presenting their proposals, concerns, and valuable suggestions for the betterment of the student body and the entire academic community.

Throughout the assembly, various important matters were discussed—each centered on addressing student concerns, strengthening student representation, and creating initiatives that respond to the needs and aspirations of our students.

The Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration 2026 was successfully held on August 12, 2026, at the 4th Floor of the Legislative and Executive Building, Municipality of Burauen. The meaningful gathering was attended by the CSC Officers, General Secretary 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗲𝗯𝗲 𝗟𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧. 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗮 Technical Committee Head 𝗝𝗺 𝗘𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗮 Justice Committee Head 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘀 and Student Relation Committee Head 𝗝𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮ñ𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀
together with JCO for Student Relation 𝗔𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗹𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗮 and JCO for Justice Committee 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼. Before the program officially began, 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿𝗮 𝗙𝗲 𝗦. 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻 warmly welcomed everyone through her inspiring message.

The seminar featured valuable discussions that aim to equip the youth with knowledge and awareness in becoming responsible members of the community. 𝗣𝗦𝗦𝗚 𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗘 𝗧. 𝗟𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗡 discussed the salient features of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act (RA 9344, as amended by RA 10630), while 𝗠𝘀. 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗠. 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮 tackled the Roles and Functions of LGU Burauen.

This seminar is especially important for the youth as it strengthens their understanding of their rights, responsibilities, and role in building a more progressive, empowered, and elevated community. Through knowledge, participation, and shared aspirations, young people can become catalysts for positive change.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to everyone who worked tirelessly to organize and make this meaningful seminar possible. Your dedication and commitment to empowering the youth are truly commendable.

The program concluded with meaningful closing remarks from 𝗛𝗢𝗡. 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗣 𝗚. 𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗘, leaving everyone with renewed inspiration to continue working together for the welfare and development of the youth.

Indeed, the Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration 2026 reminds us that although young people may come from different contexts, we share a common aspiration—to create a better, stronger, and more inclusive community. 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞|| The CANVA CON Workshop Series 1 was successfully held on August 08, 2026, at SAM SAM Bistro, Tacloban City, and was attended by Digital Head Committee Marco Adonis, Senior Council Officer Jessie De La Cruz, and Junior Council Officer Nicol De la Torre.

The activity was also made more accessible through the support of the Students Representation and Support Fund (SRSF), which provided funding for the attendees’ snacks and lunch during the workshop, allowing them to fully participate and focus on the learning experience.

The workshop provided the participants with an opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in using Canva as a creative and effective digital tool. As members of the Digital Committee, developing these skills is essential in fulfilling their tasks and responsibilities, particularly in creating engaging visual content, disseminating information, promoting organizational activities, documenting events, and strengthening the organization’s digital presence. Through this workshop, the participants were able to further develop their creativity, communication, and content creation skills, enabling them to become more effective in carrying out their roles and responsibilities.

This workshop served as a meaningful step toward empowering the Digital Committee with practical knowledge and skills that they can apply in their service and leadership. It is not only an investment in their digital capabilities but also an investment in their ability to communicate, create, and serve the student community with greater purpose, creativity, and excellence.

After a full day of learning, creating, and exploring everything Canva, we wrapped up the workshop with the trending Pass the Mic challenge. Safe to say, everyone absolutely understood the assignment. 😆

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞|| The 4th Official Meeting of the Central Student Council was successfully conducted on July 31, 2026, at the Central Student Council Office. The meeting was presided over by the Council President, Ms. Francine Jainee Maraya, under the guidance and supervision of the Council Adviser, Ms. Jenica G. Arias.

The gathering was attended by the Senior Council Officers, Junior Council Officers, and the newly elected officers, signifying the Council's collective commitment to effective leadership, collaboration, and service to the student body.
