ADSSU and SLSU Hold Inception Meeting for OUBS Management Information System Collaboration
The Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) and Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) recently convened an inception meeting to formally launch discussions on the proposed collaboration involving the ADSSU Office of the University Board Secretary (OUBS) Management Information System.
The meeting, held via video conference, opened with a prayer followed by an introduction of both participating institutions. Representing ADSSU was Dr. Francis Tom A. Paredes, University Board of Regents Secretary, who stood in for Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, President of Agusan del Sur State University. Dr. Paredes was joined by his Office Staff in leading the discussion on behalf of the university.
The ADSSU College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) was likewise represented in the meeting, headed by its Dean, Dr. Jeanie R. Delos Arcos. Also present were two of the college's Program Chairpersons, Bernie S. Balighot and Dr. James Cloyd M. Bustillo, along with Franklin D. Baluis, underscoring the college's active role in the technical and academic dimensions of the partnership.
On the side of the collaborating institution, personnel from Southern Luzon State University attended the session. Representing the SLSU Office of the University Board Secretary (OUBS) were Aurora L. Sumague, Jertrina P. Dator, and Angelita M. Salvacion. Representing the SLSU MIS-ICT Office were Francis Ervin Pasumbal, John Rusty De Mesa, Jedd Wilzon Borgonia, Franz Joseph A. Abuel, and Jayven Villanueva. Their participation reflected both the administrative and technical dimensions of the proposed collaboration.
The proposed agenda centered on two key matters: the ADSSU Office of the University and Board Secretary Management Information System, and the drafting of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) covering the proposed utilization of the ADSSU OUBS Management Information System. Discussions highlighted the system's current capabilities, including modules for submitting Complete Staff Work (CSW) packets, tracking item status, and managing approved CSW documentation โ features intended to streamline administrative processes between the two institutions.
The inception meeting marks an important first step toward formalizing the partnership between Agusan del Sur State University and Southern Luzon State University, with both parties expressing shared interest in strengthening institutional collaboration through the adoption and utilization of ADSSU's OUBS Management Information System. Further meetings are expected to follow as both institutions work toward finalizing the terms of the Memorandum of Agreement.
