The ADSSU College of Computing and Information Sciences is pleased to announce that the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) programs are opening another section and are now accepting additional first-year students who obtained an Entrance Examination score of at least 50 points. Only 50 slots per program are available, so qualified applicants are encouraged to secure their slots and complete the enrollment process on or before August 7, 2026.

ICYMI:

BSIT Interns from College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) of Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) under the Agri-Innovation, Generating New Ideas and Technologies for Excellence or Agri-IGNITE program—namely DETHER JOHM J. OLAGUIR, JOHN LEMBER P. PLAZA, and CHAVY BUTASLAC —successfully completed their 486-hour internship at the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XIII (ATI-RTC XIII) in Los Angeles, Butuan City on June 5, 2026.

​As part of their internship outputs, the BSIT interns developed various digital systems and web-based solutions aimed at improving agricultural and extension services. These include the Electronic Customer Satisfaction Measurement (e-CSM) System, FITS Center Tracker, IEC Inventory System, and the RP Evaluation Automated Analytics System.

​Through the Agri-IGNITE Program, ATI-RTC XIII supports the learning of Information Technology students by providing them with hands-on experience in developing digital solutions for agriculture. The systems and platforms they created contribute to strengthening services, improving data management, and supporting evidence-based initiatives for agricultural extension and information services.

Ang mga interns gikan sa Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) ubos sa programa nga Agri-Innovation, Generating New Ideas and Technologies for Excellence o Agri-IGNITE, nga sila si Dether John J. Olaguir, John Lember P. Plaza, ug Chavy Butaslac, malampusong nakatapos sa ilang 486 ka oras nga internship sa Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XIII (ATI-RTC XIII) sa Los Angeles, Butuan City niadtong Hunyo 5, 2026.

Isip kabahin sa ilang internship outputs, nakahimo ang mga interns og nagkadaiyang digital systems ug web-based solutions nga ang tumong mapalambo ang mga agricultural ug extension services. The ADSSU College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) proudly celebrates the successful presentation and publication of the research entitled “Multivariate Evaluation of the Free Higher Education Program Employing NLP-Based Text Mining Techniques” in an international conference.

This study demonstrates the innovative application of Natural Language Processing (NLP), text mining, and multivariate analytics in evaluating the implementation and impact of the Free Higher Education Program. Through data-driven approaches, the research generates valuable insights that can support evidence-based policy development and improve educational services for student beneficiaries.

Conducted through the NLP Training Workshop and BOSESKO Data Collection under the eParticipation 2.1 Project, in collaboration with Bicol University and National University, this initiative highlights the power of academic partnerships in advancing research, innovation, and community engagement. This achievement reflects ADSSU's commitment to research excellence, technological innovation, and meaningful contributions to higher education development at both national and international levels.
