Graduates of St. Louise de Marillac School of Bulan, Inc. marked a defining milestone as they took part in the school’s 66th Graduation Exercises held on April 8, 2026, at St. Joseph Holy Cloak Chapel.

More than a celebration of academic achievement, the ceremony underscored the grit, resilience, and sense of purpose that shaped the graduating class.

As diplomas were conferred, the event reflected not only the culmination of years of hard work, but also the emergence of a generation ready to lead, serve, and make meaningful impact.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 2026 | 𝐀 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡, 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞

With gratitude and pride, the Class of 2026 of St. Louise de Marillac School of Bulan Inc. gathered at the SLMSBI–St. Joseph Holy Cloak on April 7, 2026, to celebrate their Completion Rites, marking a significant academic milestone that honored their perseverance, achievements, and Vincentian formation as they move closer to graduation. 🎓✨

The solemn program opened with an Opening Prayer led by Jamaica E. Elizaga, a With High Honors awardee from the Class of 2026, setting a reflective and meaningful tone for the ceremony. This was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, led by Ms. Rocel N. Navarro, MAPEH Teacher, reminding the completers of their role as responsible and service-oriented young citizens.

Delivering the Welcome Address, Princess Romeanne Giga, With High Honors, warmly acknowledged the presence of administrators, faculty members, parents, and fellow completers, expressing appreciation for the continuous support and guidance that shaped the students throughout their academic journey.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the Distribution of Certificates of Completion and the Awarding of Honors and Special Awards, led by Sr. Ma. Elisa B. Barranco, DC, Directress, assisted by Mrs. Ma. Corazon T. Gubaton, Principal, and Mr. Bonifacio D. Hallig Jr., Director for Student Development, Well-being and External Linkages. The awarding recognized the completers’ academic excellence, dedication, and commitment to embodying the values upheld by the institution. 🌟

The program continued with the Words of Thanks delivered by Pearl Lacambra, With High Honors, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the school administrators, teachers, and parents for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout the students’ academic journey.

The ceremony concluded with the singing of the SLMSBI Hymn by the Completers, symbolizing unity, pride, and their enduring connection to their alma mater. Guiding the flow of the program with poise and professionalism was Ms. Patrice Kyla A. Enano, who served as the Master of Ceremonies, ensuring a solemn and memorable celebration for everyone in attendance.

Indeed, the Completion Rites served not only as a recognition of achievements but also as a reminder of the completers’ readiness to take the next step forward—carrying with them the Vincentian spirit of faith, service, humility, and excellence as members of the Class of 2026. 💙📘

A Thanksgiving Mass was held in honor of the completers and graduating students of School Year 2025–2026, attended by their parents, guardians, and the entire school community. The celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Renee G. Piñero, who emphasized that students complete their academic journey not alone, but as individuals shaped by those who supported them along the way.

Following the Mass, the Completion Rites will take place at 5:00 PM at the SLMSBI Grounds.

Solidarity Night unfolded as a celebration of unity, gratitude, and shared spirit. The program was thoughtfully opened by Ms. Princess Loraine G. Macoy through a solemn prayer song that wove grace into the evening. The mood and tone for the night was enriched by the inspiring messages of Sr. Ma. Elisa B. Barranco, DC. The stage came alive through the graceful performances of Ms. Rocel N. Navarro, alongside Mr. Marione Guerrero and Ms. Aimher Balistoy, as well as Mr. John Renz Bo and Ms. Marie Louise Monica Climaco, added depth and artistry to the evening. Additionally, Fr. Michael Ceazar A. Mestiola offered words of wisdom that resonated deeply with all present.

Sincere and heartfelt words from Sr. Ma. Luisa Javier, DC., Expressions of appreciation delivered by Ms. Bernadette G. Gilana and Ms. Darlyn Z. Today, February 25, 2026, we commemorate and honor the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution— a historic moment for us Filipinos. In 1986, for four days, millions of Filipinos gathered along the EDSA to peacefully stand for freedom and Democracy. This is not just any celebration—we are called to remember and honor the day our fellow Filipinos ended the dictatorship of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., not with weapons but through the power of courage, faith, and unity.

Behind the celebration of unity and courage lies a painful chapter in our history such as lack of freedom, corruption and human rights violation during the Martial Law under the ruling of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. For over 20 years, Marcos had been in power and ruled the country later declaring Martial Law claiming it was for order and peace. Many faced human rights abuse, corruption and the lack of freedom. Furthermore, the assassination of Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino in 1983 ignited our fellow Filipino into protesting and demanding for justice. Four days in the streets, standing against the late tyrant with nothing but faith and bravery in their pockets, while seeking for change. The courage they showcased became a symbol of hope continuing to inspire generations to stand up for the truth, justice, and democracy.

As the next generation, we must be aware of our history and learn from its lessons. Their bravery showed that even without weapons, unity can construct powerful change; the freedom that we enjoy today. We have the responsibility to understand our history, making sure to never forget about it. We might not face the same struggles as before, but with our voices and actions, we can still stand for the truth and every right of our Filipino citizens.

May we carry and continue the spirit of the People's Power in our hearts. Continuing to ignite the value of freedom that many fought to restore.

Happy 40th anniversary for the EDSA People Power Revolution. Never forget, and never again!

Forty years after a nation reclaimed its voice, our school, together with schools and institutions across the country, stands resolute in remembrance. SLMSBI hereby officially declares February 25, 2026 as a non-working and no-class day, in solemn observance of the EDSA People Power Revolution.

This declaration affirms our unwavering commitment to honor the courage, unity, and moral strength of a people who chose peaceful resistance in defense of freedom and democracy. More than a commemoration, this day serves as a solemn reminder to the next generation that the liberties we now enjoy were hard-won and must be actively protected. In remembering this historic moment, we reaffirm our responsibility to uphold truth, justice, and the enduring power of peaceful collective action—values that must never be forgotten.
