ASKAPS Academy at the Opening of the DAPRISA Games 2026! 💜🩶🤍

August 17, 2026, Almendras Gym, Davao City

The DAPRISA Games 2026 opened with a grand celebration of unity, sportsmanship, and excellence!

The program began with Welcome Remarks by Dr. Ines P. Mallari, DAPRISA President from the Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School, followed by the electrifying Opening Salvo from the ASKAPS Dance Crew.

Participating member schools proudly presented their athletes and banners, leading to the Presentation of Tournament Managers by Ma’am Vanezza D. Ligan, Sports Development Chairperson and our very own from ASKAPS Academy. This was followed by the Presentation of the Board of Trustees, the Lighting of the Torch, and the Oath of Sportsmanship.

A symbolic Ball Tossing was led by school administrators, tournament managers, and the DAPRISA Board of Trustees headed by Dr. Mallari, joined by Dr. Robert R. Binag, DepEd Davao City Division Sports Officer, and other distinguished guests.

Inspirational messages were delivered by Coach Noli Ayo (POCARI SWEAT Representative), Dr. Robert R. Binag, and Mikey P. Aportadera, Acting Head of the City Sports Development Division (SDD‑CMO) under the City Government of Davao, all reinforcing the theme “One DAPRISA – Character is the Game.”

The crowd was energized by the Community Dance featuring the official DAPRISA Theme Song “Character is the Game,” composed by Alvin D. Ligan and performed by HAWID (Nathalie & Eduard).

In the afternoon, the excitement continued with the Cheerdance Competition, managed by Leopoldo Parmo, with Dr. Nikkolo Paolo E. Atabelo and Maria Cecile C. Celis serving as Masters of Ceremony.

Truly, the DAPRISA Games 2026 embodies the spirit of unity, excellence, and character in every play! 😍🎉
