OFFICIAL STATEMENT AND PUBLIC ADVISORY
OFFICE OF THE SCHOOLS DIVISION SUPERINTENDENT

The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Cagayan has received reports concerning unscrupulous individuals posing as SDO Cagayan employees. These scammers are allegedly soliciting payments from the public in exchange for guaranteed permanent employment positions within the division.

In light of this, SDO Cagayan strictly issues the following clarifications:
1. Zero-Tolerance Policy: SDO Cagayan does not tolerate any form of fraudulent activity or corruption. This office explicitly states that it has no connection, association, or affiliation with these unauthorized individuals.
2. Call for Public Vigilance: The general public is strongly advised to remain vigilant and never engage in any transactions that involve paying for government employment.
3. Merit-Based Hiring Process: SDO Cagayan strictly adheres to the standard government protocols for assessment, publication, and hiring based on merit and fitness. No government position is for sale.

Any individual who has encountered or has been targeted by this scam is urged to report the matter immediately and directly to the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent.

Let us remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes.

Buguey North District received a new batch of supplementary learning materials and textbooks from the Schools Division Office of Cagayan on June 17, 2026.
The timely arrival of the reading and instructional materials aims to boost the literacy programs of local schools and ensure that every learner has access to quality educational resources ahead of the formal opening of School Year 2026-2027.
The district’s teaching force and school administrators expressed their deep gratitude to SDO Cagayan for its unwavering support in addressing the resource needs of the field.
The distribution of the learning materials is part of SDO Cagayan’s ongoing commitment to provide equitable learning resources to all schools within the division, ensuring that even far-flung areas are equipped with updated references aligned with current department standards. #

Buguey North District is officially prepared to welcome its learners back for the upcoming academic calendar.
This came after the district successfully cleared its comprehensive readiness evaluation on June 17-18, 2026, under the strict guidelines of the Department of Education Division of Cagayan.
The evaluation aimed to assess the district's overall preparedness for the opening of classes, review the implementation plan for the instructional block, and ensure teachers are fully equipped to deliver quality instruction for School Year 2026-2027.
Simeon P. Acuna, Jr., Designate-in-Charge of Buguey North District, led the field evaluators who officially certified the on-site evaluation and validated the district's performance.
As part of the evaluation, the validating team inspected the school environment to ensure that all facilities, learning spaces, and support systems are highly conducive to learning and responsive to the needs of both learners and community stakeholders.
Serving as key members of the validating team were secondary school heads, including Dr. Jeremias M. Siriban, Jr., Principal I of Licerio Antiporda Sr. National High School, and Nely S. Pelagio, Master Teacher II and Teacher-In-Charge of Licerio Antiporda Sr. National High School – Sta. Isabel Annex.
The team meticulously reviewed the district’s extensive Means of Verification (MOVs) to confirm that all schools are fully organized, compliant, and ready for the first day of classes.
With the evaluation successfully wrapped up, Buguey North District sets a proactive and optimistic tone for the new school year, ensuring a safe and quality learning environment for all Bugueyano learners. #

Ngayong araw, sama-sama nating ipagdiwang ang makabuluhang ika-430 anibersaryo ng pagkakatatag ng ating mahal na bayan, ang Buguey, Cagayan.

Apat na raan at tatlumpung taon na ang nakalilipas, nagsimula ang isang paglalakbay na hinubog ng agos ng ating ilog at ng yakap ng dagat. Mula sa ating tradisyonal na daklis na sumasalamin sa diwa ng bayanihan, hanggang sa masaganang yamang-dagat na nagbibigay-buhay sa ating mga hapag—ang Buguey ay patunay ng katatagan at kasipagan ng bawat Bugueyano.

Sa loob ng mahigit apat na siglo, hindi lang lupain ang ating pinangalagaan, kundi ang ating dangal, kultura, at kinabukasan. Sa kabila ng mga pagsubok ng panahon at hagupit ng kalikasan, tayo ay nanatiling nakatindig—matatag, nagkakaisa, at patuloy na sumusulong.

Saludo ako sa bawat magsasaka, mangingisda, g**o, manggagawa, at bawat mamamayang nagtatrabaho nang tapat para sa pag-unlad ng ating bayan. Ang inyong dedikasyon ang tunay na yaman ng ating munisipalidad.

Ngayon, sa ating paggunita, ipagmalaki natin ang ating pinagmulan. Huwag nating kalimutan ang mga sakripisyo ng ating mga ninuno na naglatag ng pundasyon ng ating kinalalagyan ngayon. Patuloy nating ingatan ang ating kalikasan at pagyamanin ang ating pagkakakilanlan.

Maligayang ika-430 anibersaryo ng pagkakatatag, mahal naming Buguey! Nawa’y patuloy tayong pagpalain at maging sentro ng pag-asa at masaganang bukas para sa susunod na henerasyon.

In line with Brigada Eskwela Program of the Department of Education, Mayor Licerio Millare Antiporda III extended financial assistance to all elementary and secondary schools in Buguey, Cagayan.
The turnover ceremony took place at the Municipal Gymnasium during the town's dual celebration of its 430th Founding Anniversary and the 128th Philippine Independence Day on June 15, 2026.
This assistance aims to support schools following the official start of classes on June 8, 2026, ensuring safe, clean, and productive learning environments.
The initiative underscores the local government’s steadfast dedication to education and its ongoing collaboration with the Department of Education to provide quality learning opportunities for every student in Buguey. #
