โ€Ž The Philippine National Police (PNP) Bugasong came to Saint Joseph Academy to remind our fellow Josephian learners and teachers about the laws and policies against bullying, August 10, 2026 at the Mother Rosario Hall.

โ€Ž Police Chief Master Sergeant ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—๐—ผ๐˜† ๐—ฉ๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜€, Women and Children Protection Desk; Police Staff Sergeant ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜† ๐—ฆ. ๐—ฆ๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฎ, Police Community Affairs Division Unit; and Police Senior Master Sergeant ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—ฅ. ๐—”๐—ด๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—น๐—ผ were the speakers of the said talk where they introduced laws and policies against bullying.

โ€Ž Three key rules were brought up to keep in mind, โ€œbe kind and respectful, be observant, and always speak up". The PNP Bugasong shared knowledge and insights about the right precautions against bullying inside the school grounds. This is to ensure that the students and teachers have the right to speak up and stand firm against bullying.
โ€Ž
โ€Ž After the short talk, questions from both teachers and students were answered and discussed by the officers who gave specific laws that may be used to protect possible victims and gave advice on what to do in times of need, especially in terms of bullying.
โ€Ž
As a parting line, the officers shared with the Josephians the golden rule: โ€œDo unto others as you would have them do unto you.โ€

โ€Ž Basic knowledge about laws and policies helps protect those from any kinds of bullying, whether it is physical, verbal, social, or cyber bullying. Our schools should be a place for learning, a place to be educated, and a place to build character. Use your voice, speak up for yourself, and always spread kindness.

On August 7, 2026, an anti-bullying awareness symposium was held at the Mother Rosario Hall. The main speaker, Ma'am Imelda Manalo, RGC, the Dominican guidance counselor from Iloilo, alongside was Sr. Mildred Ebane, OP.

โ€Ž Amidst the growing concerns regarding school safety, the symposium taught us the negative impacts of bullying, how to identify bullying, and how we can avoid it. The ongoing cases and violent acts due to bullying serve as an urgent call for action. This is to ensure the safety and well being of all students and teachers.

"Let's choose to be kind to each other every day," this was the line that started the symposium.

โ€Ž Simple discussions can be powerful tools in educating the youth about the importance of respect and kindness towards one another. Addressing bullying is essential; in times like these, every action, every word, and every type of solution matters before it's too late.

Each of the participants were given customized mugs, from the ๐— ๐——๐—ฅ๐—ฅ๐— ๐—ข ๐—•๐—จ๐—š๐—”๐—ฆ๐—ข๐—ก๐—š.

Through their dedication, hard-work and perseverance, they have proved that they are ready to serve and protect our community, all their efforts are not put to waste for they will now serve as the official Josephian rescue team.

โ€ŽYesterday, July 25, 2026. Our Josephian Rescue Olympic participants showcased their emergency response skills and bravery at the Ilauod Evacuation Center in Bugasong, Antique during the Rescue Olympics 2026. Organized by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Bugasong in coordination with BFP Bugasong, the activity aimed to strengthen youth disaster preparedness, foster teamwork, and equip students with essential life-saving skills to serve both our school and community during emergencies.

โ€Ž Throughout the event, our student-responders tested their speed, technical knowledge, and discipline in five challenging, simulated emergency events, including the Straight Hose Relay and Busted Hose Replacement Bucket Relay, Different Kinds of Carries, Bandaging and Splinting, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Knot Tying.

Our Josephian Rescue Olympic participants showcased their emergency response skills and bravery at the Ilauod Evacuation Center in Bugasong, Antique during the Rescue Olympics 2026. Organized by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Bugasong in coordination with BFP Bugasong, the activity aimed to strengthen youth disaster preparedness, foster teamwork, and equip students with essential life-saving skills to serve both our school and community during emergencies.

โ€Ž Throughout the event, our student-responders tested their speed, technical knowledge, and discipline in five challenging, simulated emergency events, including the Straight Hose Relay and Busted Hose Replacement Bucket Relay, Different Kinds of Carries, Bandaging and Splinting, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Knot Tying.
