"PROJECT BUSOG - LUSOG "
Poverty is one of the problems which contribute to the increasing cases of malnutrition and to lessen, being your SB Chair Committee on Education initiated " Project BUSOG-LUSOG " a feeding program which cater the needs of public elementary schools especially in upland areas in the Municipality of Bugasong.
When I visited Maray Elementary School last October 7,2022 to induct 2022 - 2023 sets of SPG and PTA Officers along with Sb Amay Maghari , we found out that some of the pupils go to school without having breakfast, no snacks, emptied stomach as shared by one of the parents now PTA President Saimian Casi Delacruz . She even mentioned when she sent snacks for her sons, she sent the entire snacks for the classroom which even initiated a feeding program every friday just to help also the parents of these pupils a one day snack.
So I decided to start this PROJECT LUSOG BUSOG feeding program in Maray Elementary School every monday, at least once a week we can see smiles of a happy child, satisfies their hunger and eager to learn.
This will be a continuous program not only in Maray Elementary School but schools and barangay that are really in need of help which these pupils cannot pay you back and this is the actual service that we need!
80 pupils are happy today, encouraged and motivated because they can go to school and have healthy snacks to eat and 80 parents/guardians need not to worry to send snacks for their children!
