📢 CELEBRATION OF NUTRITION MONTH 2026
Theme:
"Sa PPAN, Sama-Sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat"

Sub-theme:
"Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!"

Buenavista National High School – Senior High School joins the nation in celebrating Nutrition Month 2026 with the goal of promoting proper nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and environmental stewardship among our learners.

In accordance with DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2026, which safeguards instructional time under the Instructional Block, the school shall celebrate Nutrition Month through the integration of nutrition advocacy into regular classroom instruction rather than conducting activities that interrupt teaching and learning.

Teachers are encouraged to incorporate nutrition-related concepts, values, and discussions into their respective learning competencies across all Senior High School subjects. Short advocacy talks, reflective activities, contextualized examples, performance tasks, and subject-integrated learning experiences may be conducted as part of regular classroom instruction.

The celebration will also emphasize healthy lifestyle choices by encouraging learners to:

Practice healthy and balanced eating habits;
Support sustainable food production and environmental conservation;
Avoid smoking, va**ng, alcohol, and the use of illegal drugs due to their harmful effects on health, learning, and overall well-being;
Develop responsible habits that contribute to becoming healthy, productive, and resilient members of the community.

This integrated approach supports the implementation of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) while ensuring that every minute of instructional time remains meaningful, purposeful, and aligned with the prescribed curriculum.

Let us work together in promoting healthier learners, healthier communities, and a healthier environment.
