Rationale:
As reflected in the school claendar of activitiesthe English, Science and Mathematics departments of this institution join the endeavor of the Department of Education to observe and celebrate the English, Science and Mathematics month. This is a yearly undertaking to showcase relevant activities for the fields of English, Science and Mathematics. This initiative is a good avenue for teachers and students to exhibit their skills on research, investigation, innovation, experimentation, computation, problem solving as well as their speaking, writing, and other literary skills. This hopes further to share to the whole studentry the importance of learning English, Science and Mathematics in their day to day living.
With the concerted efforts of these three departments, we come up with this proposal taking into consideration the appropriateness of the activities to the usual practice with considerations of the current situation.
Objectives:
This program aims to:
provide opportunities for students to engage into productive, meaningful and effective activities that promote awareness, interest and involvement of the students in English, Science and Mathematics.
conduct the following contests: modified MathSayaw, spoken poetry, declamation, and SCITOKPERIMENTS
Give students a break to the monotony of just doing their modules
