TINGNAN: Dahil sa pagtataya ng PAGASA na magkakaroon ng katamtaman hanggang sa malakas na pag-ulan dulot ng Habagat, na maaaring magdulot ng biglaang pagbaha o pagguho ng lupa, patuloy pa rin ang pagkatuto ng ating mga mag-aaral sa pamamagitan ng mga gawaing pampagkatuto sa tahanan sa kabila ng suspensyon ng mga klase, sa gabay ng kanilang mga magulang at g**o, habang binibigyang-prayoridad ang kanilang kaligtasan.

The Provincial Government of Abra suspends face-to-face classes in all public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School on August 18, 2026 for the safety of learners and school personnel.

Schools are advised to implement Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) in accordance with DepEd guidelines to ensure learning continuity.

This precautionary measure is also in view of PAGASA’s forecast of occasional to frequent rains over Abra due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), with possible moderate to heavy rains that may cause flash floods or landslides.

TINGNAN: Sa kabila ng mga hamon dulot ng Habagat, patuloy na nagsasagawa ng mga gawaing pampagkatuto ang ating mga mag-aaral sa kani-kanilang tahanan, sa tulong at paggabay ng kanilang mga magulang at g**o. Sa gitna ng mga pagsubok, nananatiling mahalaga ang pagpapatuloy ng pagkatuto kasabay ng pagbibigay-prayoridad sa kaligtasan ng bawat isa.

LOOK: The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bucay, headed by Mayor Jaja Bernos, conducted an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign at 3:30 PM today.

The activity was facilitated by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), led by Ms. Margarita G. Sanico, LGU-Bucay LDRRM Officer II, in coordination with partner agencies, including the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), 1504th Maneuver Company, RMFB15, and other concerned offices.

The campaign focused on important topics, including Cyberbullying Awareness, Anti-Bastos Law Awareness, Anti-Drug Awareness, Minor Driving Prevention, Road Safety, Fire Safety, and Disaster Preparedness.

Through this meaningful initiative, our learners gained essential knowledge and practical skills to make responsible decisions, prevent accidents, protect themselves from various risks, and contribute to building a safer and more resilient community.

Calao Elementary School sincerely appreciates the LGU-Bucay and MDRRMO, as well as the other partner agencies, for their valuable efforts in promoting the safety, well-being, and responsible development of our learners.

Together, let us empower our youth to be informed, responsible, and safety-conscious members of the community.
