Bucay Central School Conducts Brigada Eskwela 2026

Bucay Central School successfully conducts Brigada Eskwela 2026 with the active participation of various stakeholders and community partners. The activity aimed to prepare the school facilities and learning environment for the opening of classes.

Joining the school in this meaningful endeavor were employees of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bucay, personnel from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), members of the Bucay Riders Association, CAFGU personnel, parents, and volunteers from the Philippine National Police (PNP). Their collective efforts contributed greatly to the cleaning, repair, and beautification of the school grounds.

The school administration extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their unwavering support and commitment to ensuring a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment. Through the spirit of volunteerism and bayanihan, Brigada Eskwela 2026 once again showcased the strength of community partnership in education.

A total of 358 learners from Grades 1 to 6 of Bucay Central School participated in the Performance Assessment of Standards and Skills (PASS) post-test conducted today, March 17, 2026. The corresponding pre-test was previously administered on January 28, 2026.

The PASS is administered by the Global Resources for Assessment Curriculum and Evaluation (GRACE). It aims to assess learners’ mastery of essential standards and skills, thereby supporting continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

Bucay Rays Shines: Flores Tops Editorial Writing in DSPC

BANGUED, ABRA — Bucay Central School celebrates a milestone victory as Kristeyana V. Flores, a Grade 4 pupil, clinched First Place in Editorial Writing (English) during the SDO Abra Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held at Bangued West Central School.

Coached by Ma. Lourdes B. Gonzales, Flores impressed the panel of judges with her outstanding writing skills, critical thinking, and strong command of the English language, besting other campus journalists from across the division.

This triumph marks the first major achievement of BUCAY RAYS, the official school paper of Bucay Central School, since it began participating in the Division Schools Press Conference two years ago. The victory signals a promising rise for the young publication and highlights the school’s growing strength in campus journalism.

School Head and the entire Bucay Central School community lauded Flores and her coach for bringing pride and honor to the school, expressing optimism for more victories in future press conferences.

On January 20,2026,Mayor Andrea Ma. Francheska B. Bernos visited Bucay Central School to monitor the newly finished renovation project of Grade 1 and Grade 2 buildings. She was accompanied by SB. Member George B. Orquilla Jr., and the engineers from the Municipal Hall of Bucay. During the visit, Mayor Jaja personally inspected the classrooms and checked the quality of the improvements made. Her hands-on approach showed her strong commitment to providing a safe and comfortable learning space for young learners. The school community expressed gratitude for her continued support and dedication to education.
