In the name of the Father, and of the Son (โ ), and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Almighty and eternal God,
Creator and Lord of all things,
in Your providence You govern the heavens and the earth.
We humbly turn to You in this time of danger
as heavy rains brought by the Habagat
cause flash floods, landslides, and destruction in many places.
Protect us, we pray, from every danger.
Restrain the waters that threaten our homes and communities,
preserve us from floods and landslides,
and keep safe all those who are in places of danger.
Grant strength and courage to those who suffer,
comfort to the families who have lost their loved ones and homes,
and protection to our rescuers, volunteers, and all who work
for the safety and relief of those affected.
Teach us to care for one another
and to be responsible stewards of Your creation.
Through the intercession of Saint Monica,
who persevered in prayer amid trials and tears,
protect us in this time of danger
and strengthen our faith and hope.
May her prayers obtain for us Your mercy,
safety, and protection from every calamity.
