Civil Engineering students from the Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) Main Campus โ College of Engineering (COE) emerged as champions of the 1st PISTON Challenge 2026, held today, August 28, at the SSU RIC-AVC in Catbalogan City, Samar.
The winning team, composed of Kim B. Pontica, Cassandra Emmanuelle M. Bormate, Gian Gaspar B. Anire, and Aedan Acquille G. Rivera, represented ESSU in the competition under the mentorship of Engr. Ervin R. Abobo.
Their victory showcased their technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork throughout the competition.
The achievement adds another distinction to the COE community and underscores the growing competitive presence of ESSU's CE students in inter-institutional competitions.
