Phishing Campaign: “Migration and Upgrade” Email

The Department of Education (DepEd) has identified a phishing campaign targeting DepEd personnel involving a fraudulent “Migration and Upgrade” email.

🔎 What the Scam Claims:

The email falsely states that:
Effective February 28, 2026, official DepEd emails will migrate from Microsoft 365 Outlook to Gmail.

Users must immediately access their accounts via “portal.gmail.com”.

Accounts will be upgraded to Google Workspace for Education Plus.

Staff will receive enhanced access to Google Classroom, Google Meet, Gemini AI, and additional Drive storage.

Public Advisory!

The Department of Education - Computer Emergency Response Team (DepEd CERT) has identified a new phishing campaign currently targeting DepEd personnel. This is the screenshot of the email.

Personnel who receive similar emails are advised NOT TO CLICK THE LINK and use the "Report phishing" button to help the DepEd CERT track and block the malicious domains.
