The Political Science Department, in collaboration with the SK Council of Barangay Locsoon, Borongan City, conducted a Voter Education Seminar with the theme “Kilalanin, Unawain, Piliin: Gabay para sa Matalinong Pagboto” on May 2, 2025.

This extension activity was held in response to the barangay’s request to help inform and empower youth and first-time voters. The seminar covered the importance of informed voting, the role of elected officials, and how to critically assess candidates. It aimed to promote responsible citizenship and strengthen democratic participation at the grassroots level.

The Communication Department of the College of Arts and Sciences conducted a training on Empathic Communication in Barangay San Saturnino, Borongan City, as part of the university's extension mandate.

The Barangay Sabang South Council, along with the Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Tanods, and Barangay Gender and Development (BPGAD) members, participated in a Training on Empathic Communication organized by the Communication Department of the College of Arts and Sciences as part of Eastern Samar State University's Extension Activity.
