In celebration of Teachers’ Day 2026, the 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐔-𝐒𝐒𝐂) recognized instructors who have demonstrated dedication and commitment to their students and profession through the Ulirang G**o of the Year 2026 Award, held at Teatro Ibabawnon.

Each college selected one instructor to be recognized, with the awardees chosen by the respective FCO officers of each college. Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) Main Campus celebrated Teachers’ Day 2026 on October 5 at the Teatro Ibabawnon, bringing together faculty members, students, and university officials to honor the dedication and service of educators.

With the theme “Teacher Ikaw Naman,” the celebration featured a meaningful program that included the reading of the commitment, candle lighting, Panunumpa sa Katungkulan, awarding of recognitions, games, video presentations, and social activities prepared in appreciation of the University’s teachers.

As part of the celebration, the Student Supreme Council (SSC) also recognized one Ulirang G**o of the Year from each college, honoring educators for their dedication, excellence, and service to their students and the University.

Adding excitement to the celebration, Dr. Delbert A. Dala, ESSU Faculty Federated President, surprised the faculty members with a raffle, where selected winners received ₱500 and ₱1,000 cash prizes. University President Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan, Jr. also sponsored a ₱10,000 raffle prize, which was won by the Dean of the College of Engineering.

The celebration served as a meaningful tribute to the educators who continue to inspire students, shape future professionals, and contribute to the growth of the University and the community.
