Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

“Be still, and know that I am God…”

Life can become noisy—deadlines, responsibilities, problems, and decisions can fill our minds. Sometimes we become so busy trying to fix everything that we forget that God is still in control.

God says, “Be still.” This does not mean doing nothing or neglecting our responsibilities. It means stopping long enough to remember Who God is.

When circumstances are uncertain, God remains certain.
When our strength is limited, His strength is unlimited.
When we cannot see the way forward, He already knows the way.

Today, do not let your problems become bigger than your God. Be still, pray, trust, and continue walking by faith.

Before you begin your day, surrender your worries to the Lord. Tell Him:

“Lord, I cannot control everything, but I know You are in control. Help me trust You today.”

Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

There are days when we want to know exactly what will happen next. We want answers, clear direction, and assurance that everything will work out. But God does not always give us the whole picture—He simply asks us to trust Him.

Proverbs 3:5 tells us to trust the Lord with all our heart. Faith is not trusting God only when we understand. Faith is trusting Him even when we do not understand.

Verse 6 gives us the key: “In all thy ways acknowledge him.” God is not merely interested in our church life. He wants to be acknowledged in our decisions, work, family, relationships, ministry, and plans.

When we put God first, we can face today without being controlled by fear about tomorrow.

Three Truths for Today
1. Trust God when you do not understand.
His wisdom is greater than ours.

2. Acknowledge God in everything you do.
Invite Him into every decision, not just the difficult ones.

3. Follow God one step at a time.
He may not show you the whole road, but He will faithfully direct your path.

Walking worthy begins with surrendering every area of life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” — Matthew 6:33

Campus life can become busy with classes, assignments, friendships, and responsibilities. Yet, before we pursue success, we must pursue God. When God has first place in our lives, everything else finds its proper place.

The world will often honor those who honor the spirit of the age. To be "on the right side of history" is just another way of saying that. It is the same thing as licking the finger to see which way the wind is blowing. And if you seek the honor of the age, you very might get it. But we shouldn't want that. Our Lord told the people in his day, "How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?" (Jn. 5:44). You won't believe God's word or live by it when your aim is the honor that comes from men.

In Romans 2:29, we read, "But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God." Will our praise be from men or will it be from God (cf. 1 Cor. 4:5)? Charles Hodge wrote in his commentary on this verse the following insightful observation: "If the heart be right in the sight of God, it matters little what judgment men may form of us, and on the other hand, the approbation of men is a poor substitute for the favor of God." Brothers and sisters, let us be men and women who seek the glory of God and the favor of God. Anything else is a poor substitute.

Many people are problem conscious. All they see is the problem. They see Jericho. Many of us need to take our eyes off Jericho and put them on Jesus. Here is the way of faith. Don’t dwell on your problems, dwell on your Lord. Be looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. Catch a vision of Him. Worship Him. Bow before Him and you'll find your faith growing. Learn to glance at your problems and to gaze at your Lord. Keep your eyes on Him. Don’t go around being negative or with a problem complex. Go around with your eyes, your hopes, and your affections fastened upon the Lord Jesus Christ. Set your affections on things above. Put your eyes upon the Lord and your faith will begin to grow.

Psalm 127:1 (KJV)
"Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain."

We live in a world that praises hard work, careful planning, and personal achievement. While diligence is commendable, Psalm 127:1 reminds us that our efforts are ultimately empty if God is not at the center. We can build careers, families, ministries, and dreams, but unless the Lord is directing and sustaining them, they will not have lasting value.

This verse is not a call to stop working—it is a call to work in dependence on God. We are to plan wisely, labor faithfully, and trust completely, recognizing that true success comes from His blessing. Likewise, our security does not rest in our own strength or preparations but in God's faithful protection.

Before building anything, ask yourself: Is God the Architect of my plans, or am I asking Him merely to bless my own ideas? A life built with God will stand firm because its foundation is Christ.

John 14:27 (KJV)

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

Thought
The peace that Jesus gives is not based on circumstances but on His presence. While the world offers temporary peace, Christ offers a lasting peace that calms troubled hearts and conquers fear. No matter what challenges we face, we can rest in the assurance that He is in control.

Challenge
Identify one worry or fear that has been troubling you. Surrender it to the Lord today and choose to trust His promises instead of your anxieties.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the peace that comes through Jesus Christ. Help me not to be troubled or afraid, but to trust You in every situation. Fill my heart with Your peace and strengthen my faith today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thought: Believers are called to live lives that reflect their calling in Christ.

Challenge: Examine whether your conduct honors Christ.

Prayer: Lord, help me walk worthy of Your calling.

John 15:4-5 (KJV)
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine…”

There is a great difference between visiting Christ occasionally and abiding in Him daily. To abide means to remain, to stay connected, to live in constant fellowship. It is not a momentary experience—it is a continual relationship.

Jesus paints a simple yet powerful picture: He is the Vine, and we are the branches. A branch has no life apart from the vine. It does not struggle to bear fruit—it simply stays connected, and fruit naturally follows. In the same way, the Christian life is not about striving in our own strength, but about staying connected to Christ.
