Administration Conference Hall โ€”The rigorous weeklong online preliminary survey visit by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Incorporated, concluded today, 20 August 2026.

Said survey for the Master of Science in Criminal Justice Education (with specialization in Criminology), Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness and Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, which commenced on 17 August 2026, focused on the ten areas of accreditation, including Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives; Faculty; Curriculum and Instruction; Support to Students; Research; Extension and Community Involvement; Library; Physical Plant and Facilities; Laboratories; and Administration.

AACCUP Team Overall Coordinator Dr. Jovita E. Villanueva shared the teamโ€™s impression. For the MS in Criminal Justice Education, Dr. Villanueva commended the overall performance of the program, noting that it demonstrated a strong commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement; and documents and evidence presented generally reflected established systems and practices across the different areas evaluated. Areas for improvement were also mentioned, particularly on documentation, research and extension linkages, student support, and demonstrating the effectiveness of implemented practices.

Dr. Villanueva also stressed the sufficient readiness of the program to proceed to higher-level accreditation, and commended the cooperation, openness to questions, and immediate response of the task force for requested documents throughout the online survey, giving time for the accreditors to validate them without delay. She also lauded the efficiency of the accreditation portal, which she described as โ€œvery user-friendly, well organized, and made it easy for the accreditors to locate and review the documents and evidence per area.โ€

For BS in Agribusiness, she noted that the initiatives and provisions of the facilities in some of the areas to support the instruction were visible. However, the University also needs to consider some areas that need improvement, such as the provision of comprehensive documentation of activities, implementation of policies, and alignment and updating of the documents.

For BS in Entrepreneurship, the program has adequate documents, well-prepared presentations, properly labeled in each area and coded as well chronologically per sub-areas so as to be easily followed. Although Dr. Villanueva noted that it has lacking documents, it is โ€œconsiderable for a program under preliminary survey visit.โ€

MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by MPSU-Bontoc Administrator Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, once again affirmed the Universityโ€™s commitment to quality program offerings in his statement of commitment.

โ€œIsusulong natin ang dekalidad at makabuluhang pagtuturo at pananaliksik, extension services na tumutugon sa mga pangangailangan ng komunidad, at mahusay na paggamit ng ating mga resources,โ€ he said.

Dr. Cue also expressed his gratitude to all the accreditors and all University personnel involved, from the preparation of required documents to the accreditation proper, noting the crucial role of collaboration towards quality education.

VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco, who joined the exit conference via Zoom, also recognized the efforts, services, expertise, and guidance of the task force members, AACCUP accreditors, internal accreditors, and University officials.

The exit conference was attended by IQA Director Ms. Collins F. Lidua, internal accreditors, task force members, and staff of MPSU-Bontoc and MPSU-Tadian.
