𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗮

April 23, 2026 — Today marks the 4th anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of our patron saint, Patrocinio de Maria Santisima. The occasion was celebrated with a heartfelt 10 a.m. Mass at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Patrocinio de Maria Santisima in Boljoon, Cebu.

A dignified procession of the image opened the celebration. Students from the Patronage of Mary Development School volunteered as angels, while the Patrocinian Color Guards (PCG), parish devotees, and Rev. Fr. Elvin C. Miraflor joined the march.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Januario Kipling Agravante IV emphasized the significance of the day, describing the patroness as “a symbol of faith, a mantle of devotion.” The presence and image of Patrocinio de Maria Santisima deeply moved the devotees, inspiring connection and reverence.

The commemoration also highlighted PMDS’ heartfelt devotion, seen in the Color Guards’ service and in the attendance of teachers, faculty, staff, and students.

May our patron saint, Patrocinio de Maria Santisima, remain a symbol of faith, devotion, and hope amid present uncertainties and strengthen our school community in service and love.

𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲ñ𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗼. 𝗡𝗶ñ𝗼

The 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 proudly rendered their service during the Vesperas of the Feast in Honor of Señor Sto. Niño on January 29, 2026. Their presence added dignity and solemnity to the religious celebration, which is one of the most meaningful traditions observed by the community in honor of Señor Sto. Niño. Dressed in full uniform, the Color Guards demonstrated discipline, coordination, and respect as they carried out their assigned roles throughout the ceremony. Their participation reflected not only their commitment to service but also their deep appreciation for cultural and spiritual traditions.

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆’𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲: 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗲ñ𝗼𝗿𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗮

As the morning sun gently touched the old stones of Boljoon Church, people began arriving — one by one, family by family — each drawn by faith and love for the Blessed Virgin Mary. Slowly, the pews filled with the faithful, their hearts lifted in prayer and devotion. It was a tender sight: faces both young and old, united in their quiet longing for Mary’s guidance, protection, and grace. Families came home — home to Boljoon, where their faith was nurtured, and where the town itself welcomes her children back with open arms.

Earlier today, at 10:00 a.m., the Pontifical Mass for the Feast Day of Nuestra Señora Patrocinio de Maria Santisima was celebrated. The church overflowed with people — not only Boljoanons but also devotees and pilgrims from nearby towns — all gathered as one family in faith. The celebration was made even more meaningful by the presence of Most Rev. Alberto “Abet” Uy, D.D., who presided over the solemn Mass and shared words of hope and reflection that touched every heart.

The celebration was a living portrait of devotion. Angels dressed in white walked gracefully down the aisle, followed by honor guards carrying the image of the Blessed Virgin, their steps steady and reverent. Acolytes and priests of Cebu completed the sacred procession. For a moment, the whole church seemed to shimmer with peace, as if heaven itself had come down to bless Boljoon and her people.

With the theme “Journeying Together with Mary in Faith, Anchored in Hope and Witnessing in Love,” this 426th Annual Fiesta Celebration reminded everyone that faith brings people together. Life’s journey is never meant to be walked alone. With Mary as our guide, we are called to live in faith, hold on to hope, and share love generously with others.

For the people of Boljoon, this fiesta is more than a celebration — it is a homecoming. Families who live far away return each year to give thanks, to renew their devotion, and to feel the comforting presence of their patroness. Every prayer, every song, and every candle lit becomes an offering of love to the Blessed Mother who never ceases to watch over her children.

As the Mass concluded and the image of Nuestra Señora Patrocinio de Maria Santisima was returned to her place of honor, a gentle stillness filled the church. The sight of angels in white, the unity of the people, and the deep reverence in the air spoke of one truth: Mary continues to lead her people closer to God through her love.

This year’s fiesta was a celebration of faith, hope, and love — a reminder that in Boljoon, families come home not just in body, but in heart, returning to a place where faith, love, and Mary’s guidance always await, welcoming her children with open arms.
