Mariano Calungsod Regis Elementary School (MCRES) proudly launched its ARAL Summer Program 2026, bringing together dedicated educators, supportive parents, and enthusiastic learners for a meaningful season of learning and growth.

The program opened with a successful ARAL Summer Orientation, warmly attended by pupils and parents. The activity emphasized the importance of strengthening learners’ foundational skills, especially in reading and numeracy.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our committed teachers who willingly volunteered as ARAL tutors, showing their dedication to making learning continuous and meaningful beyond the regular school year.

With the inspiring leadership of our School Head, Mr. Arcadio G. Amor Jr., and the guidance of our Reading Coordinator, Mrs. Maria Emma S. Velasco, the ARAL Summer Program continues to thrive.

𝙞-𝙎𝙐𝙇𝙏𝙄 𝙍𝙀𝙀𝙇𝙎 | The Making of a Vision.

From the first plans drawn to the ongoing construction, the Mariano Calungsod Regis Elementary School Reading Center is steadily taking shape—built with dedication, collaboration, and purpose. It will definitely be a space for learning, growth and endless possibilities.

As we prepare for S.Y. 2026–2027, this soon-to-be-completed center promises to nurture curiosity, strengthen literacy, and open doors to endless learning opportunities for every learner.

This meaningful project continues to move forward through the support and funding of Gov. Franklin P. Bautista, whose commitment to education uplifts schools and communities. MCRES is truly grateful for this partnership.

Here at MCRES, we will ensure that “Every learner is a reader—and every reader has a future.”

CONGRATULATIONS

The school extends its warmest congratulations to our two (2) Badminton Girls Athletes for their commendable performance in the DAVRAA Meet held in Tagum City, where they successfully earned a Bronze Medal.

This achievement reflects their dedication, discipline, and perseverance, as well as the strong support of their coaches, parents, and the school community. Their success has brought pride and honor to our school and serves as an inspiration to fellow learners to strive for excellence in both academics and sports.

The 2-day Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) Camporal and Encampment successfully concluded on February 15, 2026.

The activity provided participating scouts with meaningful opportunities to strengthen leadership, enhance camaraderie, and engage in hands-on learning experiences.

Core activities—including the Scouting Games, Challenge Valley, and the Search for Ms. GSP and Mr. BSP—allowed the scouts to demonstrate discipline, teamwork, resilience, and the core values of the Scouting Movement.

The school extends its sincere appreciation to ROPE (Responders Organization for Public Emergencies) Volunteers Inc. led by Mr. Norberto Jaso Jr. and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Davao Occidental headed by Mr. Harry Chester F. Camoro for their technical support, safety supervision, and commitment to ensuring the smooth and secure conduct of all camp activities.

Their presence played a vital role in the overall success of the encampment.

Gratitude is also conveyed to the Barangay Council of Bolila, headed by Brgy. Captain Noli S. Uy, and to their CVOs for the assistance, security support, and continued partnership extended to the school.

Their cooperation greatly contributed to the effective implementation of the event.

The school likewise acknowledges the dedication of the faculty, the support of parents, and the active participation of all scouts. This year’s encampment stands as a testament to the collective effort of the community in fostering leadership, responsibility, and character among the youth.
