Today, we commemorate the 128th Philippine Independence Day, honoring the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Filipinos who fought for our nation's freedom.

With this year's theme, "𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻. 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻. 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻.", we reflect on our rich history, celebrate the freedom we enjoy today, and recognize our shared responsibility in shaping a brighter future for generations to come.

Our national heroes fought and sacrificed their lives for the liberties we enjoy today. As we honor their legacy, may we protect and cherish that freedom by staying informed, standing for what is right, and choosing our leaders wisely.

Pride Month is celebrated every June in honor of the Stonewall Uprising, which began on June 28, 1969, in New York City, USA. Sparked by resistance against discrimination and police raids targeting LGBTQIA+ individuals, the uprising became a defining moment in the fight for equality and human rights.

The word "Pride" is about celebrating who you are without shame. It reminds us that 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 deserves to be 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐧, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝, and 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐝—because we all deserve sunshine. ☀️🏳️‍🌈
