The Student Coordinating Team (SCT) believes that corruption is incompatible with the life Christ calls us to live. Christ is truth. Christ is justice. Christ is service. To betray these values is to betray not just our identity as Paulinians, but also our responsibility as Filipinos.
Corruption is not a mistake. Corruption is not an accident. Corruption is violence โ violence against the poor, against the voiceless, against every Filipino robbed of dignity. It is the blood that stains our institutions, the rot that poisons governance, and the betrayal that suffocates our nationโs future. Every peso stolen is a stolen life. Every tax pocketed is a dream destroyed. Every fund misused is justice denied. Corruption has a face: the hungry child without food, the student without books, the patient without medicine, the worker without security. As the Student Coordinating Team, we stand that corruption is treason. It is treason against the Filipino people, treason against the students who deserve better, treason against God whose justice cannot be mocked.
To our leaders: authority is not power to be taken, but responsibility to be shared. Leadership is not a privilege, but a service rooted in Christ, the Servant-King. We pray that you may always choose the path of honesty, compassion, and accountability, remembering that you are first and foremost stewards of Godโs people.
To our fellow students: silence is not the way of Christ. He calls us to love not in words alone, but in deeds. Every time we look away from corruption, we allow darkness to grow. But when we speak, when we act with integrity, and when we stand together in faith, we become instruments of Christโs justice.
As Paulinians, our faith demands action. Just as Jesus cleansed the temple of dishonesty, we too must strive to cleanse our schools, our communities, and our nation of anything that betrays truth and justice. Our prayers must lead to action, and our rituals must be lived out in daily witness to the Gospel.
We therefore stand to declare:
Corruption has no place in our schools.
Corruption has no place in our communities.
Corruption has no place in our country.
The Student Coordinating Team commits to fight alongside every Filipino who dreams of a country where leaders are accountable, where institutions are clean, and where the next generation can inherit not shame, but hope.
