Declared under Proclamation No. 2054 series of 2010, as amended by Proclamation No. 353 series of 2023, this observance is fully supported by Electronics Engineering Practitioners and fostered partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology - DICT. IECEP Bulacan Chapter was awarded by DICT as valuable stakeholder. Likesiwe, Cybersecurity together with ICT and Computer Systems are promising careers under RA 9292

Working in Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC) is a noble deed. Recently, the Office of Civil Defense PH commend workers in Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) for their dedicated service during these disaster events! ❤ 🙂

Contrary to popular misconception that disaster response consists only with rescuers and frontliners, communications and connectivity are essential during disaster response. Radios, satellite, ICT and data analytics are scope of practice of ECE under RA 9292

IECEP BULACAN CHAPTER supports the 23rd Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) Celebration with theme “Reimagining Governance in the Age of AI”

The month of September is declared as Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) under Proclamation No. 247 dated 2 September 2002. This annual observance promotes nationwide awareness of the critical role of policy research in development planning and policymaking. It seeks to deepen public appreciation of policy research and its contribution to evidence-based governance.

The DPRM celebration aims to cultivate a strong culture of research among decision-makers and the general public, improve the public’s research and information literacy on socioeconomic issues, and elicit their support for activities that advance the standard of policy research in the country.

This year's theme, “Reimagining Governance in the Age of AI,” underscores the urgent need to build governance systems that are adaptive, responsive, and inclusive in light of rapid developments in artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and digital platforms. The theme highlights AI's potential to improve energy governance, combat corruption, and address aging population concerns, while also promoting digital inclusion, ethical data use, and institutional capacity-building.

The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), the government’s main socioeconomic policy think tank, leads the DPRM celebration in partnership with various government agencies, including the Civil Service Commission (CSC), a permanent member of the DPRM Steering Committee.
